Refined Coconut Oil 6501-98% (Ninol), as a classic nonionic surfactant, is widely used in five major industries: personal care, household cleaning, industrial cleaning, textile printing and dyeing, and metal processing. It plays a core auxiliary role in processes such as thickening, foam stabilization, detergency, and emulsification.
Detailed Description
Refined Coconut Oil 6501-98% (Ninol) is a high-purity coco fatty acid diethanolamide with an active content of over 98%. It is a nonionic surfactant (Cocamide DEA, CAS No.: 68603-42-9). This product is made from refined coconut oil as the starting material through advanced synthesis and purification processes, characterized by light color, low impurities, and mild odor. With its excellent thickening performance, outstanding foam stabilization and foam boosting synergy, good detergency and emulsifying properties, as well as excellent alkali resistance and hard water stability, this product has become an indispensable high-efficiency auxiliary surfactant in many formulation systems.
In formulation processes, 6501 is usually added as an auxiliary surfactant in the later stage of preparation. It has good compatibility with anionic, amphoteric and nonionic surfactants, can significantly improve the overall performance of the main surfactant, while reducing the overall irritation of the formulation. It can also be used as a viscosity modifier in high alkali or acid systems, improving the residence time of cleaning agents on vertical surfaces, expanding its application range in industrial heavy-duty cleaning.
Application Suggestions
Personal Care Products Industry
- Shampoo: Used as a thickener and foam stabilizer to improve foam fineness and consistency, leaving hair soft after washing.
- Shower Gel: Provides rich creamy foam, reduces formulation irritation, and gives skin a moisturized feeling.
- Hand Soap: Enhances cleaning power while protecting the skin barrier, improving skin feel after use.
- Facial Cleanser: Helps build a mild and dense foam system, suitable for auxiliary thickening in sensitive skin formulations.
Household Cleaning Products Industry
- Dishwashing Liquid: Significantly improves oil removal ability and foam stability, with long-lasting foam during hand washing.
- Liquid Laundry Detergent: Effectively thickens at low active content, and improves cleaning efficiency on clothes.
- Hard Surface Cleaner: Synergistically penetrates and strips grease on hard surfaces such as kitchen countertops and tiles, easy to wipe off.
Industrial and Institutional Cleaning
Used in heavy-duty cleaning formulations for metal parts, food processing equipment, and vehicle exteriors, with excellent emulsifying and dispersing ability. Acts as a viscosity modifier in high alkali or acid systems, improving the residence time of cleaning agents on vertical surfaces.
Textile Printing and Dyeing Auxiliary Industry
- Scouring Process: Removes natural waxes and impurities in cotton fabric pretreatment, ensuring even subsequent bleaching and dyeing.
- Soaping Process: Removes unfixed dyes in the after-wash process after dyeing, improves color fastness, and imparts a soft hand feel to the fabric.
Metalworking Fluid Industry
As an emulsifier and lubricating component, it stabilizes oil-water mixtures in cutting fluids and grinding fluids, improving cooling and anti-rust performance. At the same time, it can reduce foam generation during processing and prevent degradation and odor caused by bacterial decomposition.
Precautions
- It is recommended to add in the later stage of formulation preparation, stir evenly. The specific dosage depends on the target viscosity and formulation system.
- Compatibility verification should be performed before use to ensure compatibility with other components in the formulation.
- This product may cause skin irritation and serious eye irritation (GHS classification: Skin irritation Category 2, Eye irritation Category 2A). Please wear protective gloves and protective goggles during operation.
- Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Avoid release to the environment.
- Storage temperature recommended not to exceed 40°C, avoid freezing, keep container tightly closed.
- For detailed safety information, please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
