AR-815 degreasing powder (special cleaning powder for drill bits) is a strong alkaline compound industrial cleaner launched by Guoli Chemical. Its core components include sodium carbonate, sodium metasilicate pentahydrate, and sodium tripolyphosphate, compounded with fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (nonionic surfactant) and sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (anionic surfactant). Its degreasing mechanism covers triple actions of saponification, emulsification, and chelating dispersion, providing excellent penetration and stripping ability for stubborn stains such as carbon sintered deposits in drill bit spiral grooves, cutting oil, anti-rust grease, and grinding paste.
Regarding the dosage, according to the official safety data sheet and product parameters, the pH value of a 1% aqueous solution of this product reaches 12.0~13.5, which is strongly alkaline. Therefore, even at low concentrations, it has considerable degreasing efficiency. The conventional recommended use concentration is 2%~10%. For light oil contamination (e.g., anti-rust oil, light cutting fluid), 2%~4% is recommended; for moderate oil contamination (e.g., general processing oil), 4%~7% is recommended; for heavy oil contamination (e.g., carbon sintered deposits, sticky grease, grinding wax), 7%~10% is recommended. It should be noted that higher concentration does not mean infinitely improved cleaning effect; excessive use increases the difficulty of rinsing, raises the risk of corrosion to light metals, and generates more alkaline wastewater.
When preparing the working solution, the operation principle of "slowly adding powder to a quantitative amount of cold water" must be strictly followed, while continuously stirring to facilitate dissolution and heat dissipation — it is strictly forbidden to pour water directly into dry powder, otherwise local violent hydration exothermic reaction can cause boiling splashing, leading to severe burns. The prepared working solution can be used in ultrasonic cleaning, immersion cleaning, or spray cleaning according to the working conditions. The cleaning temperature is recommended to be controlled at 50~70°C. Appropriate heating can significantly improve degreasing efficiency, but it is not recommended to exceed 80°C. After cleaning, thoroughly rinse with running clean water or deionized water to remove residual alkali on the workpiece surface, avoiding subsequent corrosion or affecting coating adhesion.

1. Ultrasonic cleaning (recommended): Suitable for precision drill bits, taps, milling cutters, and other cutting tools. Prepare 2%~8% working solution, temperature 50~65°C, ultrasonic cleaning for 3~10 minutes, can thoroughly degrease spiral grooves. After cleaning, immediately rinse with clean water and dry.
2. Immersion cleaning: Suitable for batch small and medium workpieces. Prepare 3%~10% working solution, temperature 60~70°C, soak for 10~30 minutes (extend depending on the degree of oil contamination), stir or circulate the bath solution periodically to enhance cleaning effect.
3. Spray cleaning: Suitable for assembly line operations. Prepare 2%~5% working solution, temperature 50~65°C, spray pressure 0.2~0.5 MPa. The low-foam formula effectively avoids foam overflow issues.
