Defoamer FAG470 is a high-efficiency emulsion defoamer based on polyether-modified polysiloxane technology. The core purpose of its storage conditions is to ensure emulsion stability, preventing product demulsification, stratification, or failure. The storage environment directly affects the product's performance and shelf life.
According to the product Safety Data Sheet (SDS), this product is not classified as a hazardous chemical and has no risk of flammability, spontaneous combustion, or explosion. Therefore, no special explosion-proof or fire-resistant requirements are needed during storage, but general industrial chemical storage specifications should still be followed. Under the recommended storage conditions, the product is stable in its original unopened container. Once opened, it should be used as soon as possible to avoid deterioration or contamination due to prolonged exposure to air.
| Storage Element | Specific Requirement |
|---|---|
| Environmental Requirement | Cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse, avoid direct sunlight and heat radiation |
| Temperature Range | Recommended to be controlled between 5℃ and 40℃, strictly prevent freezing or continuous high temperature |
| Container Condition | Keep the container sealed to prevent moisture absorption, evaporation, or external contamination |
| Segregated Storage | Keep away from incompatible substances such as strong oxidizers, strong acids, and strong bases; store separately |
| Safety Facilities | Store in an area equipped with appropriate spill containment equipment, keep the floor clean to prevent slipping |
Before use, gently stir the product to mix evenly. If dilution is needed, it is recommended to prepare the dilution immediately before use, dilute with several times the amount of water, and add it to the foaming system as soon as possible to avoid decreased preservative efficacy due to long-term storage of the diluted solution. If the product freezes under low-temperature conditions, allow it to thaw naturally in an environment above 5℃ and stir evenly before use. Do not use open flames or direct steam heating.
