Solubilizer S-15, with the chemical name PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil (CAS No.: 39464-69-2), is a nonionic surfactant launched by Guoli Chemical Co., Ltd. in Haian County. It is produced by ethoxylation modification of natural hydrogenated castor oil. Its molecular structure combines hydrophilic polyoxyethylene chains and lipophilic fatty acid groups, endowing the product with excellent solubilizing, emulsifying, and wetting capabilities.
This product exhibits excellent chemical stability against acids, alkalis, and hard water environments, maintaining consistent performance over a wide pH range and at high temperatures. Its core value lies in significantly reducing the surface tension of aqueous solutions, enabling oil-soluble substances (such as fragrances, plant essential oils, fat-soluble active ingredients, pesticide technical materials, etc.) that are originally insoluble in water to be uniformly and stably dispersed in aqueous systems, ultimately forming clear, transparent, or uniformly stable emulsions.
Solubilizer S-15 possesses good water solubility and alcohol solubility and can be flexibly compounded with anionic, cationic, and other nonionic surfactants. Moreover, this product is derived from natural raw materials, featuring low aquatic toxicity, easy biodegradability (degradation rate greater than 60% in 28 days under OECD 301B standard), and low skin irritation, meeting the environmental requirements of modern green chemicals.

Agrochemical Formulation Field: Used as a solubilizer and emulsifier in emulsifiable concentrate, emulsion in water, and microemulsion formulations, effectively solubilizing pesticide technical materials, promoting the formation of stable and transparent microemulsion systems, enhancing dispersion and dilution stability in hard water, and effectively improving efficacy.
Personal Care and Household Chemicals: Used in water-based products such as transparent shampoos, body washes, and toners to solubilize fragrances, essential oils, and oil-soluble skin care active ingredients, maintaining the product's clear appearance and avoiding turbidity and phase separation. It is recommended to adjust the dosage in the formulation based on the solubilization target, generally starting from a low concentration and gradually optimizing.
Industrial Cleaning Field: In formulations for cleaning hard surfaces such as vehicles and machinery, it rapidly solubilizes and emulsifies heavy greases, mineral oils, and hydrophobic soils, significantly improving the cleaning agent's penetration, lift-off, and anti-redeposition performance.
Textile Dyeing and Finishing Auxiliaries: As a component of leveling agents and dispersing auxiliaries, it solubilizes disperse dyes and functional finishing agents, promoting uniform dye adsorption, preventing color spots, and improving color fastness and fabric surface effects.
