Solubilizer S-15 should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment, sealed, with the temperature maintained between 5°C and 40°C.
Detailed Description
Solubilizer S-15 (PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil) is a non-hazardous chemical and is chemically stable under normal storage conditions. However, due to its slight hygroscopicity, the container must be kept tightly sealed to prevent the product from absorbing moisture from the air, which could cause quality changes. It is recommended to store the product in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperatures.
The product has a freezing point below -10°C and is liquid at room temperature. It should be noted that extreme temperatures and freezing should be avoided - too low a temperature may cause a significant increase in viscosity, or even cloudiness or separation, affecting ease of use; too high a temperature (exceeding 40°C for a long time) may accelerate color deepening or slight degradation. The recommended storage temperature range is 5°C to 40°C.
Additionally, Solubilizer S-15 should be stored separately from incompatible substances such as strong oxidizing agents, strong acids, and strong bases to prevent unintended chemical reactions. The standard packaging provided by Hai'an Guoli Chemical Co., Ltd. includes 50kg plastic drums, 200kg plastic drums, and IBC totes. It is recommended to store in the original containers; for repackaging, use containers compatible with the product material (such as polyethylene), and regularly inspect storage containers to ensure no leaks, corrosion, or damage.

Application Recommendations
- Seal promptly after use: Due to the slight hygroscopicity of the product, immediately close the lid after each use to avoid prolonged exposure to air.
- First-in, first-out principle: It is recommended to follow the inventory management principle of first-in, first-out to ensure the product is used within its optimal shelf life.
- Low-temperature recovery: If the product experiences increased viscosity or slight cloudiness in low-temperature winter conditions, this is a normal physical phenomenon. Move it to room temperature (15°C~25°C) and let it stand until it recovers, then mix evenly before use. This does not affect product performance.
- Repackaging precautions: If repackaging from bulk, use clean, dry polyethylene (PE) containers. Avoid using iron or easily corrodible metal containers for long-term storage.
Precautions
- Keep away from incompatible substances such as strong oxidizing agents, strong acids, and strong bases to prevent unintended chemical reactions.
- Avoid extreme high temperatures and freezing. The warehouse temperature should be controlled within the range of 5°C to 40°C.
- Regularly inspect storage containers to ensure no leaks, corrosion, or damage; if packaging anomalies are found, replace or handle promptly.
- The storage area should be equipped with general fire protection facilities, although this product has a flash point ≥100°C and poses no flammability or explosion risk under normal conditions.
- Small spills may cause slippery floors and should be cleaned up promptly; discarded containers should be disposed of according to local regulations.
