Tween T-20 coconut acid (polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monococoate) is a low-toxicity or practically non-toxic nonionic surfactant. Under normal use conditions, it is not irritating to the skin, and there is no evidence of carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, or reproductive toxicity. This product exhibits excellent chemical stability, performing well in acidic, alkaline, and hard water media. However, it may undergo adverse reactions when in contact with incompatible substances such as strong oxidizing agents, strong acids, and strong bases. Proper isolation should be maintained during storage and use. When heated or burned, the product may produce harmful gases such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide; exposure to such fumes should be avoided.
From an application perspective, as an O emulsifier and solubilizer, it is recommended to adjust the dosage based on the specific formulation system. Typical usage levels are 0.5%~5% in cosmetics, 2%~8% in pesticide formulations, and 1%~10% in industrial cleaning. During formulation, it should be added slowly with thorough stirring to ensure uniform dispersion.
