Dodecyl Amine Polyoxyethylene Ether AC-1215 (also known as: Lauryl Amine Polyoxyethylene Ether (15), PEG-15 Lauryl Amine) is a multifunctional nonionic surfactant. Its molecular structure contains both amine functional groups and polyoxyethylene ether chains, which imparts unique interfacial activity to the product - it displays nonionic properties under normal conditions, while after protonation of the amine group in acidic media, it can exhibit the behavior of a cationic surfactant, providing a very flexible range of applications.
This product has excellent emulsifying ability, effectively reducing oil/water interfacial tension to form stable emulsions; at the same time, it possesses outstanding wetting, penetrating, and dispersing properties, promoting liquid spreading on solid surfaces and preventing flocculation and sedimentation of solid particles. Additionally, it features resistance to hard water, acids, and alkalis, maintaining stable performance over a wide pH range, and is compatible with various additive systems.
At room temperature, the product appears as a colorless to light yellow transparent liquid with a chemical formula of C12H25N(CH2CH2O)nH (where n is the number of ethylene oxide adducts, approximately 15), CAS number 26635-75-6, and good solubility, being soluble in water and dispersible in various organic solvents.
