The flash point of this product is greater than 150°C, and it is not classified as a flammable hazardous material; however, under high temperature conditions, slow oxidation or degradation may still occur, leading to darkening of color, pH value shift, and performance decline.
The product should always be stored in a dedicated warehouse, which must be kept cool, dry, and well-ventilated. The storage area should be equipped with containment dikes or spill containment pallets to promptly contain any leakage in case of package damage and prevent spreading. Additionally, measures to prevent overflow should be taken to ensure the storage area is away from drainage systems, surface water, and groundwater to avoid harm to the aquatic environment.
It is recommended to strictly control the storage temperature between 5°C and 40°C. Excessively low temperatures (near or below freezing) may cause the product to become turbid, stratify, or solidify into a paste, affecting flowability during use; excessively high temperatures (above 40°C) may accelerate product oxidation, leading to color darkening and degradation of active ingredients, thereby weakening its emulsifying, wetting, and dispersing properties.
The product is packaged in dedicated sealed containers and must always be kept sealed during storage. After opening, any unused product should be resealed immediately to avoid prolonged exposure to air, which may cause moisture absorption or dust adsorption. Empty containers must not undergo hot work such as welding or cutting unless thoroughly cleaned, as residual product vapors or liquids may pose hazards.
Avoid mixing and storing with incompatible substances such as strong oxidizers, strong acids, and strong alkalis. Although C13 Alcohol Ethoxylate E-1340 itself has good chemical stability in acidic and alkaline environments, contact with incompatible substances may cause side reactions, affecting product purity and safety performance.
The storage area should be kept clean and organized, with regular inspection of packaging integrity. Operators should wear chemical safety goggles, chemical-resistant protective gloves (such as nitrile rubber gloves), and appropriate protective clothing when performing operations such as material transfer and dispensing, and operate under well-ventilated conditions.
