EL-12 is a nonionic O/W emulsifier with an HLB value at a medium to high level. If emulsion instability occurs, please check: whether the oil phase type matches the HLB value of EL-12 — mineral oils and animal/vegetable oils are usually well compatible, but for polar oil phases, it may be necessary to combine with a low-HLB emulsifier; the recommended dosage is generally 5%-15% of the oil phase weight; insufficient dosage can lead to inadequate emulsification; for the emulsification process, it is recommended to use the phase inversion method or the emulsifier-in-oil method. The homogenization speed and time also affect the emulsion particle size and stability.
