Peregal O-20 (CAS No.: 68439-49-6), chemical name: C16-18 fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene (20) ether, alias: Leveling Agent O-20, Peregal O-20, belongs to nonionic surfactants. The product appears as an off-white to light yellow waxy solid or paste, produced and sold by Hai'an Guoli Chemical Co., Ltd.
The most prominent feature of this product is its excellent emulsifying ability—it has outstanding emulsifying effects on a variety of oils and organic solvents, especially suitable for O/W (oil-in-water) emulsion systems, with stable emulsion performance. At the same time, its nonionic nature endows it with broad compatibility, allowing it to be compounded with anionic, cationic, and amphoteric surfactants and auxiliaries, producing significant synergistic effects. In addition, it has excellent acid-base resistance stability and hard water resistance, maintaining high performance over a wide pH range and under hard water conditions.
In terms of safety, Peregal O-20 is a low-toxicity substance (oral LD50 > 2000 mg/kg), easily biodegradable, and does not possess PBT/vPvB characteristics. However, it is irritating to the skin and eyes (H315/H319), so protective gloves and goggles should be worn during operation.

1. Textile Printing and Dyeing: As an efficient leveling agent and dispersant, used in textile dyeing processes to effectively slow down the dye uptake rate, promote uniform dye distribution, prevent color spots and streaks, and show good affinity for direct dyes and vat dyes, significantly improving dyeing uniformity and color fastness.
2. Pesticide Formulations: Used as an emulsifier to prepare pesticide water emulsions and microemulsions, reducing oil-water interfacial tension, forming stable, well-dilutable emulsions, and improving the effective utilization of pesticides.
3. Daily Chemicals: Used as a primary O/W emulsifier or co-emulsifier in creams, lotions, shampoos, etc., imparting a fine and glossy texture to the paste, while solubilizing oily fragrances and active ingredients into the aqueous system, increasing product transparency.
4. Industrial and Household Liquid Detergents: With excellent wetting, penetration, and emulsification properties, it quickly detaches and disperses oil stains, sweat stains, and other dirt from fabric fibers and hard surfaces, significantly enhancing cleaning performance.
5. Metalworking, Papermaking, Leather, and Other Industries: As a penetrating agent and wetting agent, it rapidly reduces the surface tension of the solution, accelerating the penetration of treatment liquid into the material, improving treatment efficiency and uniformity, enhancing leather softness and feel, and improving paper quality.
