PEG600MO appears as a light yellow to yellow liquid or paste at room temperature (25°C), with a freezing point of approximately 5~10°C. If the product solidifies or pastes due to low-temperature storage, place the container in a warm environment (recommended 25~35°C) for slow reheating, or use an indirect water bath with moderate stirring to restore fluidity. Do not heat directly with open flames or steam.
As an O/W emulsifier, PEG600MO can be added in two general ways: (1) Oil-Phase Addition Method — Mix the product with oil-phase components such as oils and waxes, heat to 60~75°C with stirring, then emulsify with a preheated aqueous phase (usually at the same temperature); (2) Aqueous-Phase Addition Method — Due to its good water solubility, it can be directly added to the aqueous phase, heated to dissolve, and then mixed with the oil phase for emulsification. For solubilization applications (e.g., fragrance or essential oil solubilization), premix PEG600MO with the solubilizate uniformly, then slowly add water under stirring until a transparent or translucent microemulsion forms.
This product is a low-foaming nonionic surfactant with excellent compatibility with anionic, cationic, and amphoteric surfactants. For compounding, calculate based on the target HLB value. The HLB value of PEG600MO is 13.5 (database measured value), effectively enhancing the overall hydrophilicity of the formulation. Note that the product is not resistant to strong alkaline environments and should be avoided in systems with pH>10 for long-term use.

Note: The above dosages are general industry empirical values. The optimal dosage for a specific application should be determined through orthogonal experiments based on the actual formulation system, oil phase type and content, and target product performance. The Guoli Chemical database does not include specific recommended dosages for each application field. It is recommended that users start with the lower end of the suggested range and optimize gradually.
