Penetrant JFC-1 is usually used by direct addition or pre-dilution. The specific dosage needs to be flexibly adjusted according to the process, water quality, and fabric/substrate type. The general recommended dosage is 0.1%~2% of the working solution.
Detailed Description
Penetrant JFC-1, with its excellent penetrating, wetting, and emulsifying capabilities, is widely used in textile dyeing and printing, leather making, papermaking, metal processing, pesticide formulations, and daily chemical products. According to the product database of Guoli Chemical, this product is a nonionic fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether, easily soluble in water and oil, with an HLB value between 11 and 13, a cloud point of 45~55℃, and a penetration power (canvas sedimentation method) ≤5 seconds. It is a low-foaming penetrant that exhibits good chemical stability over a wide pH range and can perform optimally at room temperature to medium temperatures.
In the scouring, desizing, bleaching, and dyeing processes of textile dyeing and printing, JFC-1 can accelerate the uniform diffusion of the working solution along the fiber gaps to the interior, significantly shortening processing time and improving level dyeing. In metal cleaning and pickling, it helps the cleaning agent quickly penetrate the oil film, peel off oxides, and improve surface treatment effects. As a tank-mix adjuvant in pesticide emulsifiable concentrates and water suspensions, it enhances the spreading and penetration ability of the spray liquid on the leaf surface of target plants, thereby improving the effective utilization rate of pesticides.

Application Suggestions
The usage methods and recommended dosages (based on the total working solution) for different fields are as follows:
- Textile Dyeing and Printing Pretreatment (Desizing, Scouring, Bleaching): Dosage 0.5~2.0 g\/L. It can be pre-dissolved separately and then added to the working solution, or mixed with other auxiliaries in the bath. It is recommended to operate at 40~60℃ with a heating rate controlled at 1~2℃\/minute.
- Dyeing and Printing: Dosage 0.2~1.0 g\/L. Add directly to the dye liquor or printing paste and stir evenly. It can help disperse dyes, reactive dyes, etc., diffuse into the fiber interior and improve the dye uptake rate.
- Leather Soaking and Degreasing: 0.3~0.8% based on leather weight. Pre-dilute with 2~5 times warm water (30~40℃) and add to the drum, used in conjunction with soaking enzymes or degreasing agents.
- Papermaking Pulp and Coating: 0.05~0.2% based on oven-dry pulp weight. Add directly to the pulp chest or coating tank to improve the penetration uniformity of sizing agents or coatings.
- Metal Cleaning and Pickling: Dosage 0.5~1.5% (volume ratio). Can be added to alkaline or acidic cleaning solutions. It is recommended to be compounded with nonionic or anionic cleaning agents, with better effect at a temperature of 50~70℃.
- Pesticide Synergy: Add 0.1~0.5% of the total formulation. It can be first dissolved in a small amount of water or organic solvent, then mixed with other components. By reducing the dynamic surface tension of the spray liquid, it enhances target coverage.
- Daily Cleaning Agents: 0.5~1.0% of the formula. Mainly used as a penetration synergist, combined with main surfactants such as AES and sulfonic acid to enhance the penetration and emulsifying ability on dirt.
Precautions
- Pre-dilution Method: JFC-1 can be directly added to water with stirring to dissolve, or pre-diluted with 2~5 times warm water (30~40℃) before adding to the working solution to avoid local high concentration.
- Temperature Control: The cloud point range is 45~55℃. When the operating temperature significantly exceeds the cloud point, the product may precipitate from the water, leading to a decrease in penetration power. In such cases, consider replenishing or adopting a staged heating process.
- Foam Management: It is a low-foaming penetrant, but foam may still occur under high-speed stirring or strong pump circulation. If necessary, a trace amount of silicone defoamer (generally not exceeding 50 ppm) can be used.
- Compatibility Test: When compounding with anionic, cationic auxiliaries or high-concentration electrolytes (such as concentrated alkali or brine), it is recommended to conduct a preliminary compatibility small-scale test to confirm no precipitation, flocculation, or stratification before scaling up.
- Safety Protection: This product is mildly irritating to skin and eyes (GHS classification 2). Wear nitrile gloves and goggles during operation and maintain ventilation. If splashed into eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention. For specific emergency measures and ecological information, refer to the product safety data sheet.
- Storage: Store sealed in a cool, dry place at 5~40℃, avoiding moisture and foreign matter. If gelation or precipitation occurs at low temperatures, warm to about 20℃ and stir well before use.
