Low-Foam Penetrating Agent SF is a fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether phosphate surfactant with both nonionic and anionic characteristics. Its core advantages are extremely low foam and rapid penetration, and it is widely used in textiles, industrial cleaning, papermaking, leather, and pesticide synergism, among other fields.

Detailed Description

Low-Foam Penetrating Agent SF (Penetrating Agent SF, CAS No.: 26468-86-0) is a high-performance surfactant produced by Guoli Chemical. Its chemical name is fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether phosphate, and it appears as a colorless to light yellow transparent liquid. Its unique molecular structure design makes it fundamentally different from traditional penetrants—under dynamic circulation, high-speed spraying, or strong alkali conditions, it generates extremely low foam, avoiding the risk of overflow and equipment damage. At the same time, its penetration speed is very fast, quickly wetting and invading the interior of fibers, dirt layers, and substrate micropores, significantly shortening process time.

The product has excellent chemical stability, resistant to acid, alkali, and hard water. Especially in a 300g/L NaOH strong alkali solution, it still maintains stable performance. Its HLB value is between 11 and 13. The canvas sinking penetration time of a 1% aqueous solution does not exceed 10 seconds, and the surface tension is about 30 mN/m (0.1% aqueous solution). It is a key component in industrial wet processing and cleaning formulations that balances efficiency and process friendliness.

In terms of safety, Low-Foam Penetrating Agent SF is not classified as a hazardous chemical. It is a non-flammable liquid with extremely low skin irritation (rabbit irritation score < 0.5) and high safety for storage and transportation. However, basic chemical handling guidelines should still be followed.

Application Recommendations

The main uses of Low-Foam Penetrating Agent SF cover the following five major areas:

  • Textile Industry: Applicable to pretreatment processes such as desizing, scouring, bleaching, and dyeing of cotton, linen, synthetic fibers, and their blends. Under extremely low foam conditions, it ensures uniform and rapid penetration of chemicals into the fiber interior, improving treatment effect and leveling. The recommended dosage is adjusted according to process conditions and bath ratio, generally 0.1%~0.5% of the working solution.
  • Industrial Equipment and Hard Surface Cleaning: Used for cleaning metal parts, food processing equipment, and CIP online cleaning systems. It can deeply remove stubborn oil stains and impurities while avoiding production interruptions caused by foam overflow. Particularly suitable for high-pressure spraying and dynamic circulation cleaning systems.
  • Paper Industry: In the deinking process of waste paper, it promotes rapid separation of ink particles from fiber surfaces, improving deinking efficiency and pulp whiteness.
  • Leather Processing: In soaking and degreasing processes, it accelerates liquid penetration into leather fibers, helping to remove natural oils and shorten soaking time.
  • Pesticide Synergism: As a wetting and penetrating synergist component in agricultural formulations such as wettable powders and water suspensions, it significantly enhances the spreading and penetrating ability of the pesticide liquid on plant leaves and target surfaces, improving pesticide utilization.

Precautions

  • It is recommended to wear chemical safety goggles and protective gloves during operation. Avoid prolonged direct contact with skin. Wash hands thoroughly after operation.
  • Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place. Control temperature between 5°C and 35°C. Keep container sealed and away from strong oxidizers.
  • This product is not classified as a hazardous chemical. It is a non-flammable liquid, but it may decompose to produce harmful gases in a fire. Self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn during firefighting.
  • Waste and packaging must be disposed of by qualified organizations in accordance with local regulations. Do not discharge into water bodies or the environment.
