Isotridecyl alcohol ethoxylate E-1310 is a polymer compound produced by the addition polymerization reaction of isotridecyl alcohol (C13 branched fatty alcohol) with ethylene oxide (EO). Its general molecular formula is C13H27O(C2H4O)nH, where the average degree of polymerization n≈10, meaning approximately 10 moles of ethylene oxide are added per mole of isotridecyl alcohol. This product belongs to the category of fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether nonionic surfactants, with CAS number 9043-30-5.
As a high-purity product with a single main component, its active matter content is not less than 99%, free alcohol content is controlled below 2%, and water content does not exceed 0.5%. The product appears as a colorless to light yellow transparent liquid with a molecular weight of approximately 640. Due to its high purity and unique isomerized hydrophobic chain structure, the product exhibits excellent wetting, penetrating, emulsifying, and dispersing abilities, while maintaining excellent chemical stability in acid, alkali, hard water, and electrolyte systems.

Due to its high purity and excellent overall performance, this product is widely used in industrial and household cleaning (hard surface cleaners, metal degreasers), textile printing and dyeing auxiliaries (scouring agents, penetrating agents), leather degreasing processing, pesticide emulsifiers, and emulsion polymerization. In formulated systems, it is recommended to select E-1310 as the main emulsifier or wetting/penetrating agent based on the target HLB value and foam characteristics of the formulation. The typical addition amount is 1% to 10% of the total formulation weight, which should be optimized through experimentation.
