Polyether L-62 (CAS number: 9003-11-6), chemical full name polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene-polyoxyethylene block copolymer, belongs to nonionic surfactants, also known commercially as Poloxamer 182. It appears as a colorless to light yellow transparent liquid with a molecular weight of about 2500, featuring outstanding properties of low foaming, acid and alkali resistance, and hard water resistance. This product has an HLB value of about 7, a cloud point of approximately 32°C (1% aqueous solution), and is soluble in common solvents such as water, ethanol, and ether.

In terms of surface activity performance, the critical micelle concentration (CMC) of Polyether L-62 is about 1.1×10⁻⁴ mol/L (25°C), with a surface tension of about 40 mN/m (0.1% aqueous solution, 25°C), demonstrating good wetting and penetrating power as well as emulsification and dispersion capabilities.
