The usage method of Detergent AR-815 varies depending on the application scenario. It is usually recommended to dilute to a working solution concentration of 0.5%–10% and use at 40°C–95°C. Low foam and easy to rinse.
Detailed Description
Detergent AR-815 is a high-efficiency nonionic/anionic surfactant compounded from sodium alkylbenzenesulfonate and fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether. Based on its excellent alkali stability (resistant to 200g/L NaOH) and easy solubility in water, this product can be used directly as a high-concentration stock solution or pre-diluted into different ratios of working solutions.
When using, simply add the measured amount of Detergent AR-815 to the process water at the specified temperature and stir evenly. Thanks to its good hydrolytic dispersibility, it dissolves quickly even in cold water. For heavy oil and grease cleaning, the working solution temperature can be appropriately increased (e.g., 80°C–95°C) to utilize the synergistic effect of thermal and chemical cleaning power to strip stubborn spinning oils, waxes, or mineral oils.
The specific dosage depends on the substrate type, the degree of oil contamination, and the process equipment. In batch equipment (e.g., overflow dyeing machines, industrial cleaning tanks), the treatment time is usually 20–40 minutes; in continuous equipment (e.g., desizing machines, spray cleaning lines), multiple dipping and padding or multiple spray cycles are used to achieve rapid degreasing and cleaning effects.

Application Recommendations
The following are recommended process dosage reference ranges (based on data from Guoli Chemical):
Textile Printing and Dyeing Industry
- Scouring and degreasing of polyester and blended fabrics: Dosage 1 – 3 g/L, bath ratio 1:8 – 1:15, temperature 80°C – 95°C, treatment 30 – 40 minutes. Quickly emulsifies and removes spinning oils and weaving lubricants.
- Desizing/scouring of cotton fabrics: Dosage 2 – 5 g/L, used together with caustic soda and hydrogen peroxide, processed at 95°C – 100°C. Resistant to strong alkali, promotes swelling and removal of sizing agents.
- Soaping after dyeing (removal of unfixed dyes): Dosage 1 – 2 g/L, temperature 40°C – 80°C, treatment 15 – 20 minutes. Low foam properties prevent machine clogging and significantly improve color fastness and brightness.
Metalworking and Industrial Cleaning
- Spray degreasing of parts: Recommended dilution to 1% – 3% concentration, temperature 50°C – 70°C. Low foam and easy to rinse, no residue.
- Immersion/ultrasonic cleaning: Recommended dilution to 2% – 5%, temperature 60°C – 85°C, cleaning 5 – 15 minutes. Safe for various metal materials such as steel, copper, and aluminum.
- Cleaning of heavy oil-contaminated floors and equipment: Dilute to 5% – 10% depending on the degree of oil, brush or high-pressure wash at room temperature or with heating.
Leather Processing
- Degreasing of raw hides: Dosage 1% – 2% based on hide weight (dry weight), temperature 35°C – 40°C, treatment 40 – 60 minutes. Good emulsification of natural fats, resulting in clean and soft leather.
Precautions
- Protective equipment: During operation, be sure to wear acid- and alkali-resistant gloves, goggles, and protective clothing (precautionary statement P280). Avoid direct skin and eye contact with the stock solution. The stock solution is alkaline and may cause irritation.
- Dilution principle: It is recommended to first add a measured amount of water to the container, then slowly add this product under stirring, mix evenly, and then heat to the desired temperature before use.
- First aid measures: If accidentally splashed into eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes (P305+P351+P338) and remove contact lenses. In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water (P302+P352).
- Water quality effect: This product has excellent hard water resistance (stable at ≤500ppm hardness), suitable for most industrial water, and does not easily form calcium soap precipitates.
- Storage: After use, keep tightly sealed and store in a cool, ventilated place at 5°C – 30°C, away from strong acids and strong oxidizers.
