When using detergent AR-815, special attention must be paid to skin and eye protection. This product is a low-toxicity industrial surfactant, but it has skin and eye irritation. Operators must wear full protective equipment and avoid discharge into water environments.

Detailed Description

Detergent AR-815 is an anionic/nonionic compounded surfactant product. Its GHS hazard classification is Skin corrosion/irritation Category 2 and Serious eye damage/eye irritation Category 2A, with the signal word "Warning". The main hazards are: direct skin contact may cause irritation reactions (H315), and splashes into the eyes may cause severe eye irritation (H319). In addition, this product is harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects (H412), so waste liquid must not be directly discharged into water bodies or soil.

During routine operations, workers should receive relevant chemical safety training and be familiar with the product's hazardous characteristics and emergency measures. The workplace must be well-ventilated to avoid accumulation of vapors or mists. Eating, drinking, and smoking are strictly prohibited during operation to prevent ingestion. After operation, thoroughly wash hands and any exposed skin. Contaminated work clothes should be removed and washed before reuse.

Key Safety Operation Points

Personal Protective Equipment Requirements

  • Eye protection: Wear chemical safety goggles; if there is a risk of splashing, additionally wear a face shield.
  • Hand protection: Wear gloves made of nitrile rubber or neoprene.
  • Body protection: Wear chemical protective clothing to avoid skin exposure.
  • Work area: Should be equipped with eyewash stations and emergency showers.

Storage Precautions

  • Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated dedicated warehouse. The recommended temperature range is 5°C to 30°C.
  • Keep containers tightly closed to prevent leakage and external contamination.
  • Keep away from heat sources, sparks, and open flames.
  • Store separately from incompatible materials such as strong acids and strong oxidizers.
  • Keep away from food, beverages, and animal feed to avoid mixing.
  • Empty containers may contain product residues; do not use for storing other substances and dispose of properly.

Emergency Response Measures

Contact TypeFirst Aid Measures
Skin contactImmediately remove contaminated clothing and flush the affected area with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation or rash occurs, seek medical attention immediately.
Eye contactImmediately rinse gently with plenty of water or saline for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. If contact lenses are present and easy to remove, remove them before continuing to rinse. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Inhalation discomfortImmediately move the affected person to fresh air and maintain an open airway. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen; if symptoms persist, seek immediate medical attention.
Accidental ingestionRinse mouth with water. Do NOT induce vomiting. Slowly drink about 200-300 mL of water to dilute. If spontaneous vomiting occurs, keep head lower than hips to prevent aspiration and seek immediate medical attention.
Spill responseFor small spills, cover and collect using inert absorbent materials (sand, vermiculite, or universal sorbent). For large spills, evacuate non-essential personnel, wear full protective equipment, contain the spill area, prevent entry into drains or water bodies, recover using pumps or absorbent materials, and transfer to labeled waste containers.

Precautions

Although this product is not flammable, it must still be stored away from ignition sources. During operation, be sure to follow precautionary statements P264 (Wash thoroughly after handling), P280 (Wear protective equipment), P302+P352 (If on skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water), and P305+P351+P338 (If in eyes: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes). If skin irritation or eye irritation persists, seek medical attention (P332+P313, P337+P313). For more detailed toxicological data and physicochemical parameters, it is recommended to also refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
