Emulsifier A-105 (Oleyl alcohol ethoxylate, CAS: 9004-96-0) is a high-performance nonionic surfactant launched by Guoli Chemical. Compared with common nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether products on the market, Guoli Chemical A-105 uses oleyl alcohol as the hydrophobic group, with unsaturated double bonds (iodine value 75~85 gI₂/100g) in the molecule, giving the product better fluidity and low-temperature solubility, enabling it to maintain excellent emulsifying activity and wetting spreading ability under low-temperature conditions. Compared with conventional similar products, A-105 has an active content of ≥99%, almost free of free alcohols (≤1%) and other by-products, meaning that in practical applications, a higher effective surfactant concentration can be obtained at the same dosage, reducing overall usage costs.
In terms of core performance indicators, A-105 has an HLB value of 10.5, placing it in the middle range of amphiphilicity, giving it both excellent emulsifying ability and certain wetting dispersibility, with adaptability far exceeding single high-HLB or low-HLB similar products. Its critical micelle concentration (CMC) is only 25 mg/L, surface tension can be reduced to 27~30 mN/m, and penetration force is less than 30 seconds. It performs excellently in reducing interfacial tension and rapid penetration, especially in pesticide emulsifiable concentrates, microemulsions, and other formulations with stringent emulsion stability requirements. A-105 can significantly reduce demulsification and layering, greatly improving the storage stability of the formulation. Additionally, its cloud point range is 61~67℃, allowing it to play a synergistic effect in high-temperature leveling processes in textile dyeing and finishing, slowing down dye uptake rate and achieving uniform color.
In terms of compatibility and tolerance, A-105 has excellent acid and alkali resistance and hard water resistance, maintaining stable performance over a wide pH range and under high hardness water conditions. This is especially important in harsh working conditions such as metalworking fluids and industrial hard surface cleaning. Moreover, as a nonionic surfactant, it can be compounded with anionic, cationic, and other nonionic surfactants to achieve synergistic effects, offering formulation flexibility far exceeding certain ionic similar products. In terms of safety, A-105 has a flash point higher than 150°C, making it non-flammable under normal operating temperatures, providing greater safety in storage and operation.
