Emulsifier SG-100 is a nonionic surfactant with a high HLB value, exhibiting excellent emulsifying, solubilizing, and dispersing properties. Its physicochemical technical parameters are shown in the table below.

Detailed Description

Emulsifier SG-100, with the chemical name Polyoxyethylene (100) Stearate (PEG-100 Stearate), has a CAS number of 9004-99-3. The product appears as a white to light yellow waxy solid with a molecular weight of approximately 4670. It is a nonionic surfactant with an HLB value as high as 18.5-19, possessing strong hydrophilicity and being readily soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, and other organic solvents.

This product has good chemical stability, remaining stable in weak acids, weak alkalis, and hard water (pH range 3-8), but may undergo ester bond hydrolysis under strong acid or strong alkali conditions. It has extremely low foam, a cloud point greater than 100°C, and is suitable for use in high-temperature processes. The monoester content is ≥90%, and the high active ingredient content ensures excellent performance.

From a safety and environmental perspective, this product is not classified as a hazardous chemical. It has good biodegradability (OECD 301 method, 28-day degradation rate >60%), low ecotoxicity, and is an environmentally friendly surfactant.
