Peregal O-15 (fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene (15) ether) is a low-toxicity nonionic surfactant with an acute oral LD50 >2000 mg/kg (rat), but it can still cause definite irritation upon direct contact. According to GHS classification, this product falls into Skin Irritation Category 2 and Serious Eye Damage/Eye Irritation Category 2A. Skin contact may cause redness, itching and discomfort, while splashes into the eyes can cause serious irritation and damage. Therefore, impermeable gloves, protective clothing, protective goggles/face shield must be worn throughout the entire operation. After handling, wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water.
Regarding environmental safety, Peregal O-15 is classified as "Hazardous to the aquatic environment - Chronic Category 3" (H412), harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Ecotoxicity data show: fish 96h LC50 >100 mg/L, daphnia 48h EC50 >100 mg/L. Although acute aquatic toxicity is relatively low, given its long-term persistent impact characteristics, it is essential to strictly prevent the product or its waste liquids from entering sewers, surface water and groundwater. In case of spills, immediately absorb with inert materials such as sand or vermiculite, collect, and dispose of as hazardous waste in accordance with local/national regulations; do not discharge casually.
This product has no significant flammability or explosiveness, but it is still recommended to use explosion-proof ventilation and lighting equipment during handling, operate in a well-ventilated area, and avoid inhaling vapors, mists or aerosols generated when heated or sprayed. For storage, keep in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse, keep containers tightly sealed, and store separately from incompatible substances such as oxidizers, strong acids and strong alkalis. Although Peregal O-15 has excellent stability to acids, alkalis and hard water, and good compounding properties, direct mixing with strong oxidizers in actual formulations should still be carefully evaluated.

Textile Dyeing and Finishing: When used as a leveling agent or emulsifier, dissolve thoroughly and add evenly to the dye bath before heating the dyeing process. It is recommended to pre-disperse in warm water before charging to avoid excessive local concentration affecting the leveling effect.
Industrial Cleaning: When used as a core raw material for degreasing formulations, combining with medium-to-high temperature conditions (40-80°C) can maximize its emulsifying and removal capability for mineral oils and animal/vegetable fats. However, during high-temperature operation, pay extra attention to ventilation and splash/burn protection.
Cosmetics Manufacturing: When used as an O/W emulsifier in creams and lotions, strictly control the addition amount and ensure thorough homogenization and emulsification to guarantee product stability and skin feel. For fragrance solubilization, it is recommended to premix the fragrance with Peregal O-15 thoroughly before slowly adding to the water phase.
Pesticide Formulations: In emulsifiable concentrate (EC) and emulsion in water (EW) systems, pay attention to compatibility with pesticide active ingredients and other auxiliaries, and determine the optimal dosage ratio through small-scale tests to ensure spontaneous emulsifiability and dilution stability.
The greatest risks of Peregal O-15 lie in eye irritation (Category 2A) and long-term hazards to the aquatic environment (Category 3). Eye protection must be the top priority during handling. Waste liquids and washing water must be collected and treated; direct discharge is strictly prohibited. Once splashed into the eyes, remember: rinse immediately for at least 15 minutes and do not delay seeking medical attention.
