OPE-108 (Octylphenol polyoxyethylene ether) is classified as Skin corrosion/irritation Category 1B and Serious eye damage Category 1, may cause severe skin burns and eye damage (H314/H318), and is very toxic to aquatic organisms (H400). Therefore, before using this product, operators must read and understand the safety data sheet. Unauthorized and untrained personnel must not handle it alone.
During operation, wear corrosion-resistant chemical protective gloves, protective clothing, safety goggles/face shield, and use respiratory protection if necessary. The workplace must be well-ventilated, with local exhaust or general ventilation to ensure airborne concentrations are below exposure limits. After operation, hands and exposed skin must be thoroughly washed. Work clothes should be stored separately and washed regularly. Eating, drinking, or smoking is prohibited in the work area.
Although this product is not flammable itself, thermal decomposition may produce toxic and corrosive fumes. Keep away from fire, heat sources, and incompatible materials such as strong oxidizers and strong bases. Use explosion-proof electrical equipment and non-sparking tools. Keep containers tightly closed to prevent leaks.
