Alkali-resistant penetrant OEP-70 is an anionic high-concentration liquid (effective content about 70%), easily soluble in water, and can be directly added to alkali bath or working solution. The database does not provide official recommended dosages for various processes; the following are industry general reference dosages based on product performance parameters.

Detailed Description

Alkali-resistant penetrant OEP-70 (isooctyl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether phosphate) is a highly effective anionic surfactant with an effective content of 70.0±2.0%, appearing as a light yellow to yellow transparent viscous liquid, easily soluble in water. In actual use, it can be directly added to the working solution and stirred evenly, or pre-diluted with warm water (40~50°C) into a 10%~20% solution before dosing to facilitate rapid dispersion. This product maintains excellent solubility and activity in high-concentration alkali baths of 200~300g/L NaOH, with no precipitation or delamination, making it particularly suitable for high-alkali processes such as one-bath alkali-oxygen, cold pad-batch, and mercerizing.

According to technical parameters from the Guoli Chemical database, the penetration time of OEP-70 at a concentration of 5g/L on standard canvas is ≤5 seconds, and the critical micelle concentration (CMC) is 0.02%~0.06% (wt%), i.e., 0.2~0.6g/L can form effective micelles. This means that a very low dosage can achieve penetration and wetting effects. Actual usage can be adjusted upward based on alkali concentration, substrate type, and process requirements.

Application Recommendations

The following are reference dosages based on product performance and industry general experience (based on commercial raw liquid). The specific dosage should be determined through small-scale trials according to actual process conditions:

Application AreaProcess/UseReference Dosage (Commercial Raw Liquid)
Textile PretreatmentOne-bath alkali-oxygen for cotton and blended fabrics2~5 g/L
Textile PretreatmentCold pad-batch process3~8 g/L
Textile PretreatmentMercerizing penetrant3~5 g/L
Textile Scouring and BleachingHigh-alkali scouring and oxygen bleaching1~3 g/L
Leather ProcessingDegreasing agent, penetrant1~5 g/L
Paper PulpingPulping penetration aid0.5~2 g/L
Paper DeinkingWaste paper deinking process0.5~2 g/L
Industrial CleaningAlkaline cleaning agent formulation component1~10 g/L (or 1%~5% of total formulation)

Note: The above dosages are industry general reference values. The Guoli Chemical product database does not have official recommended dosage data for various processes. Users are advised to determine the optimal dosage through small-scale trials based on their own process conditions (alkali concentration, temperature, substrate type, equipment, etc.).

Precautions

  • Pre-dilution Recommendation: This product is a high-viscosity liquid (300~500 mPa·s, 25°C). When directly dosing, it is recommended to pre-dilute with warm water and add slowly while stirring until evenly dispersed to avoid local high concentration.
  • Addition Sequence: In alkaline working solutions, it is recommended to first dissolve the alkali agent evenly, then add OEP-70 to ensure optimal dispersion and stability in the strong alkali system.
  • Compatibility: This product is an anionic surfactant and is compatible with nonionic and anionic additives; compatibility tests should be conducted when mixing with cationic additives.
  • Storage: Storage temperature should be controlled at 5~40°C, avoiding freezing to prevent product delamination. If slight delamination or turbidity occurs before use, stirring evenly does not affect the use effect.
  • Safety Protection: It is recommended to wear chemical protective gloves and goggles during operation to avoid direct skin and eye contact. In case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
