Answer
2026-05-17 官方文档 快速渗透剂T-70E,润湿剂OT

Rapid Penetrating Agent T-70E (Wetting Agent OT) is an efficient anionic surfactant, chemically named Sodium di(2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate, CAS No. 577-11-7. With its excellent penetrating and wetting properties, it is widely used in dozens of industrial fields such as textiles, pesticides, coatings, and daily chemicals.

Detailed Description

Rapid Penetrating Agent T-70E and Wetting Agent OT are the same core product produced by Guoli Chemical. Its active ingredient is Sodium di(2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate (i.e., Docusate Sodium), appearing as a colorless to light yellow transparent viscous liquid with an effective content of no less than 70%. This product is an anionic surfactant, also commonly known in the industry as Aerosol OT, OT-70, or Rapid Penetrating Agent T, and is one of the classic benchmark products in the field of wetting and penetration.

The biggest feature of this product is its ability to significantly reduce the surface tension of liquids, thereby imparting strong penetration and spreading capabilities to the working solution. According to Guoli Chemical's technical data, a 1% aqueous solution shows a canvas sinking penetration test result of no more than 5 seconds, and the surface tension at 25°C can be reduced to ≤30 mN/m, with a critical micelle concentration (CMC) of about 0.1%. Its HLB value is approximately 13, offering good emulsifying and dispersing functions, and it is resistant to hard water, acids, and alkalis (can withstand 80~100g/L NaOH), with excellent chemical stability.

In domestic and international literature and industrial applications, this product has multiple aliases: in the pharmaceutical excipient field, it is often called Docusate Sodium; in the pesticide and coating industries, it is commonly referred to as Penetrating Agent OT or Aerosol OT; while in the textile printing and dyeing industry, it is habitually called Rapid Penetrating Agent T or T-70E. Regardless of the name, its core composition and function are exactly the same.

Application Recommendations

Rapid Penetrating Agent T-70E/Wetting Agent OT covers more than ten industrial fields. The following are specific application recommendations for each field:

  • Textile Printing and Dyeing: Used in pretreatment processes such as desizing, scouring, and bleaching. Recommended dosage is 0.1%~0.5% (based on the working solution volume), which can significantly accelerate the penetration of alkali and bleach liquids into the fiber interior, improving treatment uniformity and efficiency; in finishing, it promotes deep adsorption of finishing agents onto the fabric.
  • Pesticide Formulations: Used as a wetting and penetration enhancing component in wettable powders, suspension concentrates, and aqueous solutions. Recommended addition rate is 0.5%~3%, which can significantly reduce the contact angle of the spray liquid, enhance spreading and absorption on plant leaf surfaces, thereby improving efficacy and rainfastness.
  • Coatings and Inks: Accelerates pigment wetting and dispersion. Recommended addition rate is 0.1%~1% of the total formula. During application, it eliminates surface defects such as craters and orange peel, improving coating adhesion and gloss.
  • Metal and Industrial Cleaning: In degreasing cleaning formulations, recommended dosage is 0.2%~2%. Through the synergistic effect of rapid penetration and emulsification, it greatly improves the removal and degreasing efficiency of oil stains on metal surfaces.
  • Emulsion Polymerization: Used as a co-emulsifier in polymerization reactions. Addition rate: 0.2%~0.8%. It effectively stabilizes nascent latex particles, improving particle size uniformity and storage stability of the emulsion.
  • Leather Processing, Papermaking, Oil Recovery and other industries can refer to the above dosage ranges for small-scale tests based on specific process requirements before use.

Precautions

  • Safety Protection: This product is classified as Skin/Eye Irritant Category 2 (GHS Classification H315/H319). During operation, chemical safety goggles and chemical-resistant protective gloves (e.g., nitrile rubber gloves) must be worn to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
  • Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse. The temperature should be maintained between 5°C and 35°C. Keep away from heat sources, strong oxidizers, strong acids, and strong alkalis. Avoid direct sunlight.
  • Environmental Requirements: This product is harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects (H412). Do not discharge directly into water bodies. Waste disposal must comply with local environmental regulations.
  • First Aid Measures: In case of skin contact, immediately wash with plenty of running water and soap for at least 15 minutes. In case of eye contact, immediately rinse with running water continuously for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention as soon as possible. If ingested, do not induce vomiting; immediately drink a small amount of milk or water and seek medical attention.
  • Compatibility Confirmation: Before formulating, it is recommended to conduct small-scale compatibility tests to ensure stability with other components in the system (especially cationic substances).
