Answer
2026-05-17 官方文档 异构醇聚醚E-1303

Isomeric Alcohol Polyether E-1303 is a nonionic surfactant, typically used by direct addition or pre-dilution. The recommended dosage varies by application, generally ranging from 0.5% to 10% of the total formulation.

Detailed Description

Isomeric Alcohol Polyether E-1303 (Isomeric Tridecanol Polyoxyethylene (3) Ether) is a low-foaming nonionic surfactant, liquid at room temperature, and can be directly added to the formulation system. Due to its excellent chemical stability and wide compatibility, it can be compounded with anionic, cationic, and other nonionic surfactants, offering flexible application in various industrial formulations.

When adding to the formulation system, it is recommended to add slowly under stirring conditions to ensure uniform dispersion. For high-viscosity formulations, it can be pre-diluted with warm water (30°C~50°C) before addition to help accelerate dissolution and uniform mixing. In water-based systems, it is generally recommended to pre-mix as an oil phase component or add together with other surfactants to the water phase while stirring for dispersion.

Safety operation procedures should be followed during use: wear chemical safety goggles and impermeable gloves (e.g., nitrile rubber, neoprene), operate in a well-ventilated area, and avoid direct contact with eyes and skin. Wash hands and other exposed areas thoroughly after operation.

Application Recommendations

Industrial and Household Cleaners: Recommended dosage is 1%~8% of the total formulation. Can be compounded with other surfactants (e.g., anionic LAS, AES) to formulate low-foaming metal cleaners and hard surface cleaners. Due to its strong lipophilicity, it has excellent emulsifying and removal capability for mineral oils and animal/vegetable oils.

Textile Printing and Dyeing Auxiliaries: As a component of scouring agents and penetrating agents, recommended dosage is 0.5~3g/L of the working solution. In pretreatment processes, it can improve fiber wetting speed and impurity removal efficiency; as a leveling agent, recommended dosage is 5%~15% of the dye weight, helping to slow down the dyeing rate and reduce color spots and color differences.

Leather Processing: In the degreasing process, recommended dosage is 0.3%~1.0% of the pelt weight, which can be used in combination with auxiliaries such as soda ash to effectively emulsify natural oils in the leather. In the soaking process, the recommended dosage is slightly lower, at 0.2%~0.5% of the pelt weight.

Pesticide Formulations: In pesticide emulsifiable concentrates (EC) and emulsion concentrates (EW), recommended dosage is 3%~10% of the total formulation. When used as an emulsifier in combination with anionic emulsifiers (e.g., Nongru 500#, 600# series), better results are achieved. In suspension concentrates (SC) as a wetting dispersant, recommended dosage is 0.5%~3%.

Emulsion Polymerization: As a nonionic emulsifier in emulsion polymerization of monomers such as vinyl acetate and acrylates, recommended dosage is 1%~5% of the total monomer mass. Often used in combination with anionic emulsifiers (e.g., SDS, SDBS) to achieve both mechanical and chemical stability.

Precautions

  • Freeze-Thaw Impact: The product may become turbid or stratify at low temperatures (below 5°C), which is normal. Before use, bring the product back to room temperature (15°C~30°C) and stir evenly to restore activity; use effect is not affected.
  • Compounding Sequence: In formulations containing multiple surfactants, it is recommended to first mix E-1303 with oily components or other nonionic surfactants before adding aqueous components to reduce the formation of gel intermediate phases.
  • Safety Protection: This product is classified as Skin Irritant Category 2 and Eye Irritant Category 2A. Protective gloves and goggles must be worn during operation. In case of accidental eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention promptly.
  • Storage Conditions: Recommended storage temperature is 5°C~40°C; keep the container tightly sealed, away from fire, heat sources, and strong oxidizers, and avoid freezing or high-temperature exposure.
  • Biodegradability: This product is readily biodegradable (OECD 301 method), but disposal should still comply with national and local regulations; do not discharge into drains or soil.
