Isotridecanol polyether E-1306 (CAS No.: 9043-30-5) is a high-performance nonionic surfactant produced by addition polymerization of ethylene oxide with isotridecanol as the starting agent. With its unique branched chain structure, this product possesses excellent emulsifying ability, superior wetting and spreading properties, and efficient dispersing performance. It maintains stable surface activity over a wide pH range and under hard water conditions, and has good compatibility with anionic, cationic, and other nonionic surfactants.
Compared to linear alcohol polyether products, E-1306 has a lower pour point and better low-temperature fluidity, making it less prone to solidification in cold environments. It also exhibits a faster dynamic surface tension reduction rate and stronger wetting and penetration capabilities, particularly outstanding in rapid cleaning and high-efficiency penetration scenarios. The product has good biodegradability and meets increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
| Application Industry | Specific Process/Use | Functional Role |
|---|---|---|
| Industrial and Institutional Cleaning | Metal surface cleaners, hard surface cleaners, vehicle cleaners, institutional cleaning products | Penetration, emulsification, and degreasing, providing excellent detergency and anti-redeposition effects; low foam properties suitable for high-quality formulations |
| Textile Printing and Dyeing Auxiliaries | Pretreatment penetrants, leveling agents, soaping agents, desizing, scouring, etc. | Promote dye liquor diffusion into fibers, improving dyeing uniformity and color fastness |
| Leather Processing | Soaking, degreasing, rewetting, dyeing, fatliquoring, etc. | Penetration dispersant, accelerating the penetration of chemical agents into leather fibers, making leather soft, full, and uniform in color |
| Metalworking Fluids | Fully synthetic, semi-synthetic, and emulsifiable cutting fluids, grinding fluids | Emulsifier and lubricity additive, combining cooling, lubrication, and cleaning functions, extending working fluid life |
| Pesticide Formulations | Preparation of pesticide emulsifiable concentrates, oil-in-water emulsions, microemulsions | Pesticide emulsifier, improving active ingredient dispersion and bioavailability, enhancing wetting and spreading of the spray liquid on leaf surfaces |
| Emulsion Polymerization | Emulsion polymerization of monomers such as acrylates and styrene | Efficient emulsifier, providing stable emulsification dispersion, controlling particle size, reducing gel content, improving storage stability of the latex |
In industrial cleaning formulations, it is recommended to utilize the low foam characteristic of E-1306 in combination with other surfactants to significantly improve degreasing efficiency. In textile pretreatment processes, its rapid penetration capability is particularly suitable for high-speed continuous production lines. In metalworking fluid formulations, it can be used as a primary or auxiliary emulsifier, with good compatibility with anionic rust inhibitors. In pesticide formulations, it is recommended for emulsifiable concentrate and oil-in-water emulsion systems requiring high emulsification stability.
