Precautions for using Polyether L-35?

Polyether L-35 is a non-hazardous chemical with very low toxicity. Key operational precautions: avoid eye contact, store sealed in a cool place (5~40°C), and keep away from strong oxidizing agents.

Safe Handling Points

Polyether L-35 (CAS: 68439-50-9) has an acute oral toxicity LD₅₀ (rat) of > 5 g/kg, is non-irritating to skin, and only extremely slightly irritating to eyes. It is recommended to wear chemical safety goggles during handling to avoid direct contact with eyes. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Use in a well-ventilated area; do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling. Empty containers must not be used for storing food or drinking water.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse. Keep containers tightly sealed to prevent moisture absorption. Recommended storage temperature range is 5°C to 40°C; avoid freezing or prolonged high-temperature exposure. Keep away from fire, heat sources, and incompatible substances (such as strong oxidizing agents). Avoid storing or transporting together with food or feed. The product has certain hygroscopicity; reseal promptly after opening.

Emergency Treatment

In case of skin contact, remove contaminated clothing and wash with plenty of running water and soap. In case of eye contact, immediately flush with plenty of water or saline for at least 15 minutes; if irritation persists, seek medical attention. If ingested, rinse mouth and drink plenty of water; do not induce vomiting. If discomfort or large ingestion occurs, seek medical attention immediately. In case of spillage, use inert absorbent materials (such as sand, vermiculite) to contain and collect, and dispose of according to local regulations. This product is not flammable, but thermal decomposition may produce irritating gases. Firefighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
