Polyether L-62 should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse, away from fire and heat sources, keep the container sealed and avoid direct sunlight.

Detailed Description

Polyether L-62 (Poloxamer 182) is a nonionic surfactant with relatively stable chemical properties, but it may absorb moisture or degrade under improper storage conditions. To ensure product quality and safe use, the following storage specifications must be strictly followed.

The product has a flash point greater than 150°C (closed cup). Although it is not classified as a flammable liquid, it can still burn when exposed to open flames or high heat. Therefore, the storage environment must be kept away from ignition sources and heat sources. At the same time, direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent temperature fluctuations that may cause changes in product properties. The container must be kept sealed to prevent moisture and external contaminants from entering.

In addition, Polyether L-62 should be stored separately from oxidizing agents, acids, and other substances, and should not be mixed. The storage area should be equipped with emergency leakage handling equipment and suitable containment materials to deal with accidental spills.

Application Recommendations

In actual use, it is recommended to follow the "first in, first out" principle for inventory management. After opening the product, use it as soon as possible, and immediately reseal the container after each use. If turbidity or stratification occurs due to low temperature, it is usually a reversible change. The product can be restored to room temperature and stirred evenly before use, without affecting product performance.

Precautions

  • The storage temperature is recommended to be controlled within the range of 5°C to 40°C. Extreme temperatures may cause changes in product viscosity or phase separation.
  • It is recommended to use original sealed drums or compatible stainless steel or polyethylene (PE) containers for packaging.
  • Keep away from strong oxidizing agents (such as peroxides, permanganates, etc.) and strong acids to avoid hazardous reactions.
  • Smoking and open flame operations should be prohibited in the storage area, and fire extinguishing equipment should be provided (suitable extinguishing agents: water spray, foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide, sand).
  • In case of leakage, small spills can be absorbed and collected with sand or inert materials; large spills should be contained by building dikes and transferred using pumps.
