Stearic acid polyoxyethylene ether SG-6 (PEG-6 Stearate) is a relatively safe nonionic surfactant. Its acute oral toxicity LD50 is greater than 2000 mg/kg (rat), classified as low toxicity; the primary skin irritation index PII is less than 0.5, non-irritating to the skin; the skin sensitization rate is 0%, non-sensitizing. These toxicological data indicate that the health risk of this product is low under normal industrial use conditions.

It should be noted that this product may cause mild reversible irritation to the eyes; rabbit tests show that it may cause conjunctival congestion and edema, usually recovering within a few days. Therefore, eye protection should be emphasized during operation. In addition, the product is a white to slightly yellowish waxy solid or flake at room temperature.
