Stearic Acid Polyoxyethylene Ether SG-6, also known as Polyethylene Glycol Stearate or PEG-6 Stearate (CAS 9004-99-3), is a high-efficiency nonionic surfactant. With excellent emulsifying, dispersing and wetting functions, it is mainly used in cosmetic cream and lotion emulsification and solubilization, textile softening and antistatic treatment, pesticide emulsification, industrial cleaning, metalworking fluids and papermaking deinking. Guoli Chemical provides in-stock supply with free samples and technical solution support.
Performance Features
Excellent emulsifying properties: As an O/W emulsifier, it forms stable, fine emulsions suitable for creams, lotions and various cosmetic formulations.
Good dispersing and wetting: Effectively disperses pigments, powders and solid particles while providing good substrate wetting.
Textile softening effect: Imparts a soft, smooth hand feel to fabrics, widely used in textile finishing and synthetic fiber oil formulations.
Moderate HLB: With an HLB value of approximately 9.7, it offers balanced hydrophilic-lipophilic properties suitable for both emulsification and solubilization.
Good compatibility: Compatible with anionic, cationic and other nonionic surfactants as well as common cosmetic and industrial formulation ingredients.
Application Guidelines
Cosmetic Emulsifier: Add 1%-5% to the oil phase. Heat to 70-75°C, then combine with the heated water phase under stirring to form a stable O/W cream or lotion.
Textile Softener: Use at 0.2%-1% in finishing baths. Apply by padding or exhaustion at 30-50°C.
Pesticide Emulsifier: Blend at 3%-8% with anionic emulsifiers for EC and EW formulations.
Industrial Cleaning: Formulate at 2%-6% with surfactants and builders for hard surface and metal cleaning applications.
Packaging and Storage
Packaging: 50kg plastic drum, 200kg plastic drum, or IBC tote.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Keep container closed. Shelf life: 24 months.
