Product Overview

Stearic Acid Polyoxyethylene Ether SG-9, also known as Polyethylene Glycol Monostearate or PEG-9 Stearate (CAS 9004-99-3), is a nonionic surfactant with an HLB value of approximately 11-12. It exhibits excellent emulsifying, dispersing and antistatic properties, widely used in textile oil agents, cosmetic creams, metalworking fluids and pesticide emulsification. Guoli Chemical provides factory-direct supply with free samples and technical support.

Performance Features

  • Balanced emulsifying power: With an HLB around 11.6, it provides effective O/W emulsification for creams, lotions and industrial emulsions.
  • Good dispersing and antistatic: Reduces static charge buildup on synthetic fibers and improves the dispersion of solid particles in liquid formulations.
  • Fabric softening: Imparts a soft, smooth hand feel to textiles when used in finishing treatments.
  • Broad compatibility: Works well with anionic, cationic and other nonionic surfactants.

Application Guidelines

  1. Textile Softener: Use at 0.2%-1% in padding or exhaustion processes at 30-50°C.
  2. Cosmetic Emulsifier: Add 1%-5% to the oil phase, heat, and combine with the water phase for stable cream formation.
  3. Synthetic Fiber Oil: Use at 0.1%-0.5% in spinning oil formulations.

Packaging and Storage

50kg plastic drum, 200kg plastic drum, IBC tote. Store in a cool, dry place. Shelf life: 24 months.
