The recommended dosage in cosmetic formulations is typically 1% to 5%, while in pesticide formulations, the dosage depends on the specific formulation type, generally 2% to 8%.

Before use, it is recommended to heat Span S-40 to 50 to 60°C to melt it, then mix it uniformly with the oil phase components to fully exert its emulsifying and dispersing efficiency. In plastic film anti-fogging applications, the recommended addition amount is 0.5% to 1.5% (relative to the resin weight), and compounding with Tween-type additives yields better results.

Precautions

  • During operation, it is recommended to wear protective gloves and safety goggles to avoid prolonged direct skin contact that may cause defatting, and to prevent dust from entering the eyes causing temporary discomfort.
  • Store in a cool, dry environment below 35°C, keep the packaging sealed, away from strong oxidizers and strong acids, and avoid direct sunlight.
