XPO-4 (Glycerol Polyoxyethylene Ether Oleate) is a non-ionic surfactant specially designed for the high-temperature high-pressure dyeing process of polyester (polyethylene terephthalate) and its blended fabrics. Its core mechanism is to reduce the initial dyeing rate of dyes at high temperature stages through excellent migration and retardation properties, allowing dye molecules to uniformly adsorb and diffuse on the fiber surface and inside, thereby significantly reducing dyeing defects such as color spots, color dots, and color differences, and improving the one-time success rate of dyeing.
In practical use, XPO-4 is directly added to the dye bath and used together with disperse dyes. It is recommended to add XPO-4 together with dyes and other auxiliaries (such as pH regulators, dispersants, etc.) into the dye bath before the dyeing temperature rise, stir evenly, and then add the fabric. During the dyeing process, XPO-4 maintains stable physical and chemical properties under high-temperature high-pressure conditions, without demulsification or stratification, ensuring the smooth operation of the entire dyeing process.

Application Recommendations
Recommended Dyeing Process Conditions:
- Recommended Dosage: 0.5~2 g/L (or 1%~3% o.w.f. based on fabric weight. Specific dosage should be determined through lab trials based on dye concentration, color depth, and equipment conditions)
- Applicable Bath Ratio: 1:10~1:20 (overflow dyeing machine, jet dyeing machine, etc.)

Typical Process Flow:
- Add an appropriate amount of cold water (or warm water) to the dissolving tank, add the measured XPO-4, and stir evenly;
- Add the disperse dye slurry, stir thoroughly to disperse evenly, then inject into the dye bath;
- Adjust the dye bath pH to 4.5~5.5 with acetic acid;
- Add the fabric, and raise the temperature at a rate of 1~2°C/min to 125~135°C;
- Hold for dyeing for 30~60 minutes, then cool down, drain, wash, and perform reduction cleaning.
Other Applications: XPO-4 can also be used as a high-performance industrial emulsifier and dispersant, suitable for formula systems such as inks, coatings, and pesticide emulsifiable concentrates; it can also be used as a compounding component for chemical fiber spinning oils.
Precautions
- Dosage Optimization: For light colors, it is recommended to use the lower limit dosage (0.5~1 g/L); for dark or sensitive colors, the upper limit (1.5~2 g/L) can be appropriately increased. Excessive use may lead to overly strong retardation, affecting the final dye uptake. It is recommended to determine the optimal dosage through lab trials.
