Product Overview

MOA-4 (AEO-4), chemically C12-14 fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene (4) ether, is a medium-low HLB nonionic surfactant with excellent emulsifying and wetting properties. It is used as an O/W emulsifier in various industrial applications including textile auxiliaries, pesticide formulations and industrial cleaning. It appears as a colorless to slightly yellow liquid at room temperature.

Performance Features

  • Balanced HLB (~9): Suitable for both emulsification and wetting applications.
  • Good oil and organic solvent solubility: Easy to incorporate into oil-based and solvent-based systems.
  • Effective wetting: Reduces surface tension for improved substrate penetration.
  • Versatile compatibility: Works with anionic, cationic and other nonionic surfactants.

Application Guidelines

  1. Textile Auxiliary: 0.5%-2% in pretreatment and dyeing formulations.
  2. Pesticide EC: 3%-6% as a co-emulsifier.
  3. Industrial Cleaning: 1%-5% in degreasing formulations.

Packaging and Storage

50kg plastic drum, 200kg plastic drum, IBC tote. Cool dry storage. 24-month shelf life.

MOA/AEO Ethoxylate Applications

  • Textile pretreatment: Wetting, scouring and penetrating. Dosage: 0.5-3g/L.
  • Industrial and metal cleaning: Degreasing and hard surface cleaning. Dosage: 2%-8%.
  • Synthetic fiber oil: Lubrication and antistatic. Dosage: 0.1%-0.5%.
  • Pesticide formulations: Co-emulsifier in EC and EW. Dosage: 3%-8%.
  • Household detergents: Emulsifying and wetting component. Dosage: 1%-5%.
