Papermaking defoamer XS-02 is a high-efficiency non-ionic defoamer with polyether ester (polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene ether fatty acid ester) as the main component, with CAS number 9004-81-3. Its aliases include polyoxyethylene oleate and polyethylene glycol monooleate. It appears as a white to light yellow viscous liquid.
Polyether ester is a block copolymer obtained by esterification of polyoxyethylene (EO), polyoxypropylene (PO) with fatty acids. In its molecular structure, the polyoxyethylene segment imparts good hydrophilicity and water dispersibility to the product, the polyoxypropylene segment provides hydrophobicity and defoaming activity, and the fatty acid ester group further enhances the product's surface activity and foam suppressing ability. This unique molecular structure design gives it good self-emulsifying dispersion performance in water.
As a non-ionic defoamer, XS-02 has good compatibility with anionic, cationic auxiliaries, and various sizing agents and strengthening agents in the system, and is less prone to side reactions or precipitation. Therefore, it performs particularly well in the complex chemical environment of the paper industry.

This product is specifically designed for the paper industry, and a single type can cover multiple key processes from pulping black liquor to paper machine white water circulation, coating color, and surface sizing. Due to the stability of the polyether ester molecular structure, XS-02 can maintain excellent defoaming and foam suppressing performance even in high-temperature and strong alkali black liquor environments, which is difficult for many traditional defoamers to achieve.
