Castor Oil Polyoxyethylene Ether EL-80 is a nonionic surfactant prepared by condensation of natural castor oil with ethylene oxide. At room temperature, it appears as a light yellow paste to solid. Due to the presence of a large number of polyoxyethylene ether segments in its molecular structure, the product has a certain hygroscopicity. Therefore, the container must be kept tightly sealed during storage. After opening the drum for material retrieval, it should be resealed as soon as possible to prevent moisture absorption, caking, or quality changes caused by adsorbing moisture from the air.
During storage, special attention should be paid to temperature control: excessively high temperature (above 40℃) may cause the paste to soften or even cake, affecting discharge and ease of use; excessively low temperature (below 5℃) may cause the paste to harden. Although it does not affect the internal quality after returning to room temperature, it can cause inconvenience during material retrieval. In addition, the product should be kept away from strong oxidizers, strong acids, strong bases, and other incompatible substances to avoid chemical reactions that may affect product performance.

When using the product for the first time after long-term storage, it is recommended to confirm the appearance and basic properties (such as water solubility, emulsifying power, etc.) to ensure the quality meets requirements. If any abnormalities such as separation, significant color darkening, or odor generation occur, discontinue use and contact the supplier for quality inspection.
For large-scale production users, it is recommended to follow the first-in, first-out principle and arrange inventory turnover reasonably. If sub-packaging is needed, the sub-packaging container should be clean and dry. After sub-packaging, it should also be sealed and stored, with the product name, batch number, and sub-packaging date marked on the container for traceability management.
