MOA-9 (AEO-9) is a nonionic surfactant, chemically stable but slightly hygroscopic. Proper storage is crucial to maintain its active content (≥99.0%) and core properties such as emulsification, wetting, and dispersion. The product appears as a colorless transparent liquid to white paste at room temperature. Storage at too low a temperature may cause the product to solidify (solidification point approx. 5~10°C), while excessively high temperatures may lead to color deepening or structural changes. Therefore, extreme temperature environments should be avoided.
The original packaging provided by Haian Guoli Chemical Co., Ltd. includes 50kg plastic drums, 200kg plastic drums, and IBC totes, all with sealed designs. After opening, the container should be immediately resealed. Unused product must not be returned to the original packaging to prevent cross-contamination. The product should be strictly isolated from incompatible substances such as strong oxidizers and strong acids, and kept away from food, feed, and drinking water sources.
| Parameter Name | Parameter Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Solidification Point | approx. 5~10°C | The product solidifies at low temperatures; storage temperature should be above this range |
| Flash Point | >150°C | Flash point is relatively high, but still keep away from open flames and high-temperature heat sources |
| Hygroscopicity | Slightly hygroscopic | Container must be kept strictly sealed to prevent moisture absorption |
| Chemical Stability | Stable in dilute acid and alkali solutions | High temperature and strong alkaline conditions may cause hydrolysis; such extreme environments should be avoided |
| Original Packaging Specifications | 50kg/200kg plastic drums, IBC totes | — |
| Shelf Life | Not individually listed in this product's SDS | Industry common recommendation is 2 years from production date (sealed original packaging, under recommended conditions) |
To ensure the product maintains optimal performance (such as cloud point 55~65°C, HLB value 13.6, hydroxyl value 85~100 mg KOH/g, etc.), it is recommended to follow the first-in, first-out inventory management principle. If the product solidifies or precipitates under low-temperature conditions, before use, place it in a warm environment to slowly thaw and stir gently to homogenize. Do not heat directly with open flames or high-temperature steam to avoid local overheating that may cause degradation and failure of the product.
