Penetrant JFC-2 (Isooctanol polyoxyethylene ether) is a nonionic surfactant with an HLB value of 13.5, a cloud point of 65~70℃, and is easily soluble in water and organic solvents such as alcohols and ketones. Its penetrating power is extremely strong — the penetration time measured by the standard canvas sedimentation method for a 0.1% aqueous solution is ≤5 seconds (data source: Guoli Chemical product database). It has excellent chemical stability in acidic and alkaline media, good compatibility with anionic, cationic, and amphoteric auxiliaries, and flexible compounding. The effective content of the product is ≥99%. It is recommended to pre-dilute with warm water or directly disperse by stirring into the working solution before use to ensure uniform mixing.
Used as a penetrating agent in desizing, scouring, bleaching, mercerizing, and dyeing processes. Directly add JFC-2 to the working solution and stir evenly. Utilizing its property of quickly wetting fibers, it promotes uniform penetration of chemicals into the fiber interior, effectively avoiding dead spots in treatment and shortening process time. Typical operating temperature range: normal temperature to medium temperature (best effect below cloud point ≤65℃). The working solution has a wide pH adaptability range and can function stably under both acidic and alkaline conditions.
Used in the soaking and degreasing processes of raw hides. Add JFC-2 proportionally to the soaking or degreasing solution to accelerate liquid penetration into the deep layers of the hide, promote emulsification and removal of natural fats, and shorten the soaking cycle. It is recommended to use at normal temperature to 40℃.
Applied in felt cleaning. Prepare JFC-2 into a cleaning solution, utilizing its rapid penetration into the gaps of felt fibers to help disperse and remove deposits such as resin and fillers, thus extending the service life of the felt. The cleaning temperature is recommended to be controlled at 50~65℃.
Used in formulations of hard surface cleaners and metal degreasers. JFC-2 can quickly spread on the surface of oil stains, strongly penetrate to the interface between oil stains and the substrate, achieving deep stripping and cleaning. It can be compounded with nonionic, anionic, and other surfactants to enhance the overall cleaning effect. Operating temperature range: normal temperature to 60℃.
Added as a wetting and penetrating adjuvant to wettable powders, water suspensions, and emulsifiable concentrates. It improves the spreading and penetration ability of the pesticide solution on plant leaves and target surfaces, enhancing the utilization rate of the active ingredient. The addition amount needs to be optimized through formulation experiments depending on the type of formulation.
Used as a penetration-enhancing additive in drilling fluid systems during drilling operations. It quickly penetrates into micro-fractures of the formation, assists in controlling filtrate invasion, and improves the filtration and lubricity of the drilling fluid. The specific dosage should be determined based on well conditions and the drilling fluid formulation system.
