Environmentally friendly penetrating agent JFC (fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether, CAS number: 68439-50-9) is a nonionic surfactant. It appears as a colorless to slightly yellow transparent liquid, easily soluble in water, with an HLB value of 11 to 13 and strong penetrating power (standard canvas sinking method ≤5 seconds). In actual use, add the product proportionally directly to the treatment bath or formulation according to the specific process and stir evenly. Its resistance to acid, alkali, and hard water enables it to maintain high performance under a wide range of process conditions.
This product can be added directly as a neat solution by metering, or pre-diluted with water to a 10% to 20% solution for accurate metering and rapid dispersion. Since the cloud point is approximately 40 to 50°C, it is recommended to use at room temperature to 60°C for optimal penetration. In processes requiring high temperature treatment (e.g., cotton fabric scouring), it can be compounded with anionic surfactants to improve temperature resistance. The product has good compatibility and can be compounded with anionic, cationic, and other nonionic surfactants for better synergistic effects.
In the desizing, scouring, and bleaching processes of cotton, linen, synthetic fibers, and their blends, add 0.1% to 0.5% of the working liquid weight. Add directly to the desizing or scouring liquid and treat at 60 to 100°C to quickly wet the fibers and allow the working liquid to penetrate evenly into the yarn interior. Its low-foam properties are especially suitable for high-speed overflow dyeing machines, preventing fabric jamming and circulation pump cavitation caused by foam.
Soaking step: Add 0.2% to 0.5% of the raw hide weight, used together with soda ash or soaking enzymes. Soak at room temperature to accelerate moisture penetration and shorten soaking time. Degreasing step: Add 0.5% to 1.0% of the hide weight, used together with alkaline auxiliaries (e.g., soda ash, degreasing agent) and treat at 35 to 40°C to effectively emulsify and remove natural fats.
In water-based metal cleaning agent formulations, JFC is typically used as a penetration-enhancing component. The recommended addition amount is 1% to 5% of the total formulation weight, compounded with nonionic or anionic main cleaning agents. In immersion or spray cleaning at room temperature to 60°C, it can penetrate deep into the gaps between oil stains and substrate, improving oil removal efficiency.
In the waste paper deinking process, add 0.1% to 0.3% of the dry pulp weight, together with deinking agents (such as NaOH, sodium silicate, H₂O₂, etc.) into the pulper, and act at 40 to 55°C to quickly wet the ink and promote its detachment from the fiber surface.
For wettable powder (WP): Use as a wetting and dispersing auxiliary, add 1% to 3% of the total formulation weight, mixed into the material before jet milling. For emulsifiable concentrate (EC): Use as a co-emulsifier, add 2% to 5%, compounded with the main emulsifier to improve the spontaneous dispersibility and dilution stability of the emulsion.
Use as a wetting and dispersing auxiliary, add 0.1% to 0.5% of the total formulation weight during the pigment dispersion stage to quickly wet the pigment and filler surfaces, aid in deagglomeration, and reduce the dynamic surface tension of the system, improving substrate wetting and leveling, and preventing cratering and floating.
