Environmentally friendly penetrant JFC is a fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether (AEO) nonionic surfactant prepared by addition polymerization of C8-C10 chain fatty alcohols with ethylene oxide (EO). Its CAS number is 68439-50-9, and aliases include penetrant JFC, polyoxyethylene fatty alcohol ether, wetting agent JFC, etc.
The molecular structure of this product consists of two parts: a hydrophobic C8-C10 alkyl chain and a hydrophilic polyoxyethylene ether chain segment. This "amphiphilic" structure allows it to arrange directionally at the oil/water interface, giving the product excellent penetration, wetting, and emulsifying capabilities. The shorter carbon chain (C8-C10) provides lower surface tension and rapid interface migration ability, which is the structural basis for its outstanding penetration power.
The product appears as a colorless to slightly yellow transparent liquid with excellent stability against acids, alkalis, and hard water. It maintains high performance under a wide range of pH values and complex water quality conditions, and has good compatibility with anionic, cationic, and other nonionic surfactants.
