Detailed description

Alkali-resistant penetrant OEP-70 is a highly efficient anionic surfactant. At room temperature, it appears as a light yellow to yellow transparent viscous liquid with an active content of 70.0±2.0%, and is easily soluble in water. Its penetrating power is extremely strong; at a concentration of 5g/L, the penetration time for standard canvas is ≤5 seconds. The most prominent feature of this product is its extremely high alkali resistance stability. It can maintain excellent solubility and activity in NaOH solutions as high as 200–300g/L, without precipitation or stratification.

When using, the direct addition method is recommended: slowly add the measured OEP-70 into water or alkali solution, and stir evenly. Due to its high viscosity (kinematic viscosity of 300–500 mm²/s at 25°C), it is recommended to preheat slightly or dissolve in warm water before use for easier handling and dispersion. In compounding systems, OEP-70 is usually used as a penetrant component and is compatible with nonionic, anionic surfactants, chelating agents, and stabilizers.

Thanks to its low foam characteristics, this product is especially suitable for dynamic processing equipment such as circulating spray and high-speed jet. Additionally, it has excellent hard water tolerance, with no risk of soap scum precipitation in hard water environments, effectively reducing equipment scaling.

Application suggestions

Textile pretreatment (recommended dosage: 1–5 g/L): Used in processes such as alkali-oxygen one-bath method, cold pad-batch, and mercerizing for cotton and blended fabrics. It can be added directly to high-concentration alkali solutions (200–300g/L NaOH). Utilizing its rapid penetrating power, it ensures chemicals penetrate into the fiber interior uniformly and quickly, improving capillary effect and whiteness, and avoiding treatment stains.

Paper pulping and deinking (recommended dosage: 0.5–2 g/L): Added as a penetration aid in pulping or deinking liquor to promote the penetration of chemicals into fibers and separation of ink, thus enhancing deinking efficiency.

Leather degreasing (recommended dosage: 1–3 g/L): Used in rewetting and degreasing processes in leather processing to help degreasing agents better penetrate the leather, improving degreasing efficiency.

Industrial hard surface cleaning (recommended dosage: 2–5 g/L): Used as a penetrating and wetting component in alkaline cleaner formulations to enhance the removal and emulsification of oil stains on metal surfaces. Suitable for soaking, spraying, and other cleaning methods.

Precautions

  • Accurate measurement: It is recommended to determine the optimal dosage through small-scale tests based on specific process conditions and fabric/substrate types.
  • Operational protection: The product may cause mild skin and eye irritation. Wear chemical-resistant gloves and goggles during operation to avoid prolonged direct contact.
  • Storage conditions: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area with temperature controlled at 5–40°C. Avoid freezing to prevent product stratification. Tightly seal the container after use to prevent moisture absorption and contamination.
  • Compatibility: Avoid direct mixing with strong oxidizing agents. It is recommended to conduct compatibility tests before use.
