Alkali-resistant penetrant OEP-70 is an anionic surfactant, with its core chemical structure being isooctyl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether phosphate (also known as 2-ethylhexanol polyoxyethylene ether phosphate). In industrial applications, this product often exists in the form of potassium salt, namely isooctyl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether phosphate potassium salt, to improve its solubility in water and ease of use.

From a chemical structure perspective, this product consists of three parts: the hydrophobic isooctyl alcohol (2-ethylhexanol) group provides affinity for fibers and substrates; the middle polyoxyethylene ether (EO) chain segment imparts certain hydrophilicity and wetting/spreading ability; the terminal phosphate group (in the form of potassium salt) contributes anionic characteristics and excellent alkali resistance stability.
