Polyether F-68 is a stable non-ionic surfactant. Problems that may occur during use are usually related to operating conditions, storage environment, or formulation compatibility. It is recommended to self-check from the following aspects:
Dissolution and Dispersion Issues: Polyether F-68 is a white to slightly yellow waxy solid, which dissolves slowly at room temperature. It is recommended to slowly add the product to warm water (30~50°C) under stirring conditions, and continue stirring until completely dissolved. If agglomeration occurs, appropriately increase the water temperature and extend the stirring time, avoiding large one-time feeding.
Formulation Stability Anomalies: If stratification, turbidity, or precipitation occurs in the preparation, check whether the system pH value is within the appropriate range, and whether there is compatibility conflict with electrolytes or other surfactants. Polyether F-68 has good tolerance to acids, bases, and hard water ions, but extreme conditions may still affect its performance. It is recommended to conduct systematic formulation compatibility experiments.
If skin contact occurs during operation, immediately remove contaminated clothing, wash the affected area thoroughly with plenty of soap and warm water, and seek medical attention if irritation or rash appears. If accidentally splashed into eyes, rinse immediately with running clean water or saline solution for at least 15 minutes, keeping eyelids open during rinsing, and be sure to seek ophthalmologist treatment if irritation persists. If inhalation of dust causes respiratory irritation, quickly move the person to fresh air, and seek medical attention immediately if symptoms persist. In case of leakage, cover and collect with inert absorbent materials (such as sand, vermiculite), transfer to chemical waste containers, and prevent entry into drainage systems or soil.
