G-25 Glycereth-25 is a high molecular weight polymer whose core chemical composition is a polyether copolymer of glycerol (glycerin) and ethylene oxide. During synthesis, natural glycerol is used as the initiator and undergoes ring-opening polymerization with 25 molar equivalents of ethylene oxide (EO) under precisely controlled conditions. Polyoxyethylene (PEG) chains are introduced onto the three hydroxyl groups of glycerol, ultimately yielding a polyoxyethylene glyceryl ether with an average ethoxylation degree of 25.
The effective active content of this product typically reaches a high purity level, and it appears as a colorless to slightly yellow liquid or paste (morphology may vary with temperature).
