MOA-9 (AEO-9) is a nonionic surfactant. Although its acute oral toxicity is low (rat LD₅₀ > 2000 mg/kg), the product itself has clear irritating properties. Direct skin contact may cause allergic or irritating reactions (in accordance with H315 hazard statement), and eye contact can lead to severe irritation (in accordance with H319 hazard statement). Therefore, a strict personal protection system must be established during daily operations, and caution should not be relaxed due to the low toxicity level of the product.
This product is harmful to aquatic life with long-lasting effects (H412). This means that if untreated wastewater containing MOA-9 is discharged into natural water bodies, even at low concentrations, it may cause cumulative damage to the aquatic ecosystem. During use and disposal, appropriate wastewater collection and treatment measures must be implemented, and direct discharge into sewers, rivers, or soil is strictly prohibited.
