Peregal O-3 (fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene (3) ether) is a nonionic surfactant with a low HLB value (6.5~8.5). Its appearance at room temperature is a colorless to light yellow liquid or paste (melting point 35~40°C). Its molecular structure is dominated by lipophilic groups, so it is not directly soluble in water, but can be dispersed in water, and readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone, and most oily matrices. This characteristic determines that before use, the product usually needs to be preheated to a flowable state and preferentially mixed with the oil phase components.
In practical operation, it is recommended to heat Peregal O-3 to 40~50°C to fully melt or reduce viscosity, then add it to the oil phase (such as mineral oil, white oil, organic solvent or pesticide technical solution) and stir evenly, then slowly add the water phase under stirring to form a stable water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion. If used as a penetrant or leveling agent in water-based systems, it can be pre-dispersed into a slurry with a small amount of warm water or ethanol before being injected into the working solution.
Peregal O-3 has good chemical stability in acid, alkali and hard water media, and can be widely compounded with anionic, cationic and other nonionic auxiliaries. The product has low foam, making it particularly suitable for industrial cleaning, spinning oil agents and metalworking fluid scenarios that require rapid defoaming or low-foam operation. Wear nitrile rubber gloves and chemical safety goggles during use to avoid direct skin and eye contact.

Recommended dosage: 2%~8% of total formulation.
Operation method: Mix Peregal O-3 with oil phase components (mineral oil, white oil, silicone oil, etc.) and heat to 45~55°C, stir until transparent and uniform; under continuous stirring (speed 500~1000rpm), slowly add the water phase into the oil phase, and continue stirring for 10~20 minutes after addition to obtain a stable emulsion.
Recommended dosage: 5%~15% in concentrated cleaner, 1~5g/L in working solution.
Operation method: Blend with surfactant compounds (such as AEO-9, sulfonic acid, etc.) and alkaline auxiliaries. Peregal O-3 can significantly enhance the stripping and dispersing ability for mineral oil and rust preventive oil. When adding materials, first melt it and add to the oil-based solvent or nonionic component, then mix with the aqueous component.
Recommended dosage: Leveling treatment 0.5~2g/L (based on dyebath volume); pretreatment penetration 1~3g/L.
Operation method: First mix into a slurry dispersion with a small amount of 40°C warm water or ethanol, then add to the dyebath or pretreatment bath and stir evenly. Peregal O-3 can slow the dye uptake rate, prevent uneven dyeing, and simultaneously promote the penetration of alkaline liquor into the fiber interior.
Recommended dosage: 10%~30% of total oil agent.
Operation method: Mix with other smoothing agents, antistatic agents according to the formula proportion, heat to 40~50°C and stir evenly, then apply to the fiber surface by roll coating or spraying. Peregal O-3 provides smoothness and cohesiveness, reducing yarn breakage during spinning.
Recommended dosage: 5%~15% in concentrate.
Operation method: Mix Peregal O-3 with base oil, antirust agent, extreme pressure additive and other oil phase components, heat and stir evenly. When using, dilute with water to a 5%~10% working emulsion. Its excellent W/O emulsifying ability ensures emulsion stability, combining cooling, lubrication and antirust functions.
