OS-15 (AEO-15), with the chemical name fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene (15) ether, is a nonionic surfactant appearing as a white waxy solid. With excellent emulsifying ability, superior wetting and dispersing properties, strong resistance to acids and alkalis, and hard water tolerance, it plays a key role in many industrial fields and can be compounded with anionic, cationic and other nonionic surfactants for synergistic effects.
In the washing industry, OS-15 serves as an efficient nonionic surfactant, significantly improving detergency, emulsification and dispersion capabilities, making it suitable for laundry liquid, dishwashing detergent and hard surface cleaning formulations. In the textile printing and dyeing field, its excellent penetration and leveling properties help dyes to dye evenly, reducing color spots and color differences. Meanwhile, it can be used as a dispersant in coatings, inks and dye processing to prevent pigment particle agglomeration and sedimentation.
In addition, OS-15 promotes ink stripping and emulsification dispersion in paper deinking processes; enhances penetration and emulsification effects in leather processing steps such as soaking, degreasing and fatliquoring; effectively removes oil stains, cutting fluids and other contaminants in metal surface cleaning; acts as an O/W emulsifier in cosmetic cream and lotion formulations; and improves the dispersion, wetting, adhesion and penetration of active ingredients in the pesticide field.
