Compared to common low EO number AEO products available on the market (such as AEO-3, AEO-7, AEO-9), Guoli Chemical's OS-15 has a higher degree of ethoxylation (n≈15), resulting in an HLB value as high as 14.5, significantly outperforming AEO-9 (HLB value approx. 12~13). A higher HLB value means that OS-15 exhibits superior dispersion and stabilization of oil-phase components in O/W emulsification systems, making it particularly suitable for cream cosmetic formulations and pesticide emulsifiable concentrates that require fine emulsion particle size and long-term storage stability. Additionally, its cloud point reaches 81~85°C, maintaining excellent surface activity under high-temperature cleaning conditions without precipitation or deactivation due to temperature rise.
Compared to traditional TX series (octylphenol ethoxylates) or NP series (nonylphenol ethoxylates), the most significant advantage of OS-15 is its environmental friendliness. It uses natural C12-14 fatty alcohol as the starting material, exhibits good biodegradability, and does not produce alkylphenol degradation products with estrogenic effects in the environment. Given the current global trend of restricting and banning APEO substances, replacing TX/NP series products with OS-15 allows companies to easily pass environmental certifications and export inspections, facilitating a transition to "green formulations." Furthermore, OS-15 has very low acute toxicity (rat oral LD50 > 2000 mg/kg), making it milder and safer for use in cosmetics and personal care products.
Compared to some high EO number products (e.g., Peregal O-25), OS-15 does not sacrifice penetration and wetting properties while maintaining excellent hydrophilicity. Guoli Chemical's OS-15 controls free alcohol content at ≤0.5%, active matter content at ≥99%, ensuring extremely high purity. In practical applications, it demonstrates strong hard water resistance, insensitivity to calcium and magnesium ions, and wide compatibility with anionic, cationic, and amphoteric surfactants, enabling synergistic effects. Whether used as a high-temperature leveling agent in textile dyeing and printing or in metal cleaning with ultrasonic assistance, OS-15 exhibits low foaming and easy rinsing characteristics, avoiding the rinsing difficulties caused by excessive foaming in high EO products.

OS-15 appears as a white waxy solid with a melting point of approximately 20~25°C. Solidification or delamination may occur under low temperatures in winter, which is a normal physical phenomenon. Before use, place it in a 25~35°C environment for natural thawing and stirring uniformly. Do not heat with open flames. During operation, wear nitrile gloves and safety goggles to avoid direct contact, which may cause mild skin and eye irritation.
