Question

How to use super penetrating agent JFC-E?

Answer
2026-05-17 官方文档 超强渗透剂JFC-E

The usage method of super penetrating agent JFC-E needs to be adjusted according to the specific industry and process. Generally, the recommended dosage is 0.1% to 2.0% of the total working solution. It can be directly added to the aqueous phase or working solution and stirred evenly before use.

Detailed Description

Super penetrating agent JFC-E (Dioctyl sulfosuccinate sodium salt, CAS: 1639-66-3) is a highly efficient anionic surfactant. It appears as a light yellow to colorless transparent liquid and is easily soluble in water. Its core advantage lies in its extremely low surface tension (only 28~32 mN/m for a 1% aqueous solution at 25°C) and super strong penetrating power (standard canvas settling method ≤5 seconds), making it an indispensable rapid penetration aid in various industrial fields.

In practical applications, the usage method of JFC-E is relatively simple. For most aqueous systems, it can be directly added to water or the working solution and stirred evenly. Due to its good chemical stability (resistance to acid, alkali, and hard water, capable of withstanding up to 200g/L NaOH), it can adapt to a wide range of process conditions. For formulated products (such as cleaning agents and pesticide formulations), it is usually added at the final stage of formulation and stirred evenly. It should be noted that although this product is described as "non-hazardous, low-toxic substance" with non-ionic characteristics, its actual ionic type is anionic. When compounding with cationic additives, it is recommended to conduct a compatibility test first to ensure no precipitation occurs.

Application Recommendations

According to the process characteristics of different industries, the recommended usage method and dosage of super penetrating agent JFC-E are as follows (the following dosages are suggested values based on industry experience):

  • Textile printing and dyeing pretreatment (desizing, scouring, bleaching): Recommended dosage is 1~3 g/L. Add directly to the desizing or scouring solution. It maintains excellent permeability even at high temperatures (e.g., 80~100°C), significantly removing sizing agents and impurities from the fabric, improving whiteness and capillary effect.
  • Dyeing and printing leveling and penetrating agent: Recommended dosage is 0.5~2 g/L. Used in the same bath with dyes, it effectively reduces color spots and improves levelness. Especially suitable for cotton, polyester, and their blended fabrics.
  • Leather processing (soaking, degreasing, tanning): Recommended dosage is 0.3%~1.0% of the skin weight. It effectively accelerates the penetration of water molecules and chemicals into the fiber interior, shortening the process time.
  • Industrial and household hard surface cleaning: As a penetrating component in cleaning agent formulations, the recommended addition amount is 1%~5% of the total formulation. It can be used in combination with nonionic surfactants and auxiliaries to quickly strip and remove oil stains.
  • Pesticide formulations (emulsifiable concentrates, suspension concentrates): When used as a tank-mix adjuvant, the recommended dosage is 0.05%~0.2% of the spray volume; when used as a formulation component, the recommended addition amount is 1%~5% of the total formulation. It significantly improves the spreading and penetration ability of the liquid on the target, enhancing efficacy.
  • Paper pulping and waste paper deinking: Recommended dosage is 0.1%~0.5% of the dry pulp or waste paper weight. Add during the pulping or deinking stage to improve ink detachment and fiber dissociation efficiency.

Precautions

To ensure effectiveness and safety, please pay attention to the following points during operation:

  • Compounding test: Although this product has good compatibility with most auxiliaries, it is necessary to conduct a small-scale compatibility test before compounding with cationic auxiliaries or high-concentration electrolyte systems to confirm no precipitation or turbidity occurs.
  • Safety protection: This product is slightly irritating to the eyes (GHS Class 2B). It is recommended to wear chemical safety goggles and protective gloves during operation, and avoid prolonged contact with skin.
  • Storage and shelf life: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment at 5~35°C, keeping the container tightly sealed. The product is hygroscopic; use as soon as possible after opening. Under recommended storage conditions, the shelf life of unopened product is usually 24 months.
