Answer
2026-05-17 官方文档 聚醚L-63

Polyether L-63 is a non-ionic polyether polyol produced by block copolymerization of propylene oxide (PO) and ethylene oxide (EO) using glycerol as a starter, with the chemical name polyoxypropylene polyoxyethylene glycerol ether, CAS number 9003-11-6, widely used in polyurethane foams, elastomers, adhesives, coatings and other fields.

Detailed Description

Polyether L-63 (also known as Polyether Polyol L-63) is a high-performance non-ionic surfactant manufactured by Hai'an County Guoli Chemical Co., Ltd. Its molecular structure uses glycerol as the starting core, and through block copolymerization of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide, it forms a high molecular weight compound with hydrophilic-hydrophobic amphiphilic structure, with a molecular weight of about 3000. At room temperature, it appears as a colorless to slightly yellow transparent viscous liquid, soluble in water, ethanol, ether and other organic solvents.

This product belongs to the typical Poloxamer class of surfactants, with an HLB value between 7 and 8, combining excellent emulsifying, wetting, dispersing and leveling functions. At the same time, the product has good resistance to acids, alkalis and hard water, low foam and good stability, and high processing tolerance. The hydroxyl value range is 54~58 mgKOH/g, acid value ≤0.05 mgKOH/g, active ingredient content ≥99%, moisture content ≤0.05%, with stable and reliable quality.

In terms of safety, Polyether L-63 is a non-hazardous substance. Acute oral toxicity tests show it is practically non-toxic (LD50 > 5000 mg/kg), non-irritating to skin, and may cause only mild temporary eye irritation. Flash point is greater than 220°C, it is a non-flammable liquid, and it is easily biodegradable, meeting environmental requirements.

2. Self-Skinning Foam: Used to manufacture automotive steering wheels, armrests, headrests and interior trim parts, forming an integrated structure with a dense skin and soft core, offering good tactile feel, wear resistance and appearance quality.

3. Semi-Rigid Foam: Applied in automotive instrument panels, door inner panel filling, energy-absorbing cushioning blocks, etc., providing balanced resilience, impact resistance and energy absorption characteristics.

4. Microcellular Elastomers: Suitable for high-performance polyurethane microcellular elastomers such as shoe soles, insoles, shock-absorbing pads, seals, etc., imparting high wear resistance, excellent resilience, lightweight and fatigue resistance to the material.

5. Polyurethane Adhesives and Coatings: As the polyol component in two-component systems, it can improve adhesion, flexibility, chemical resistance and weatherability, widely used in automotive, construction and general industrial coating and bonding applications.

Precautions

  • Eye protection is of utmost importance: Chemical safety goggles or face shields must be worn during operation to prevent product splashing into eyes. In case of eye contact, immediately flush with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if present and continue flushing). If irritation persists, seek medical attention promptly.
  • Storage Conditions: Recommended storage temperature 5~40°C, store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse, away from strong oxidizers and strong acids, keep container tightly sealed to prevent moisture.
  • Packaging Specifications: Guoli Chemical offers three packaging options: 50 kg plastic drum, 200 kg plastic drum and IBC tote, which can be flexibly selected according to production needs.
  • Shelf Life: Use within the specified shelf life under recommended storage conditions. For long-term storage, it is recommended to test before use.
  • Safety Level: The product is non-hazardous, practically non-toxic, non-flammable, and easily biodegradable. However, industrial hygiene practices must still be followed. Eating and smoking are prohibited in the work area.
