Rapid Penetrant T (Kuai T-50), chemical name Sodium Dioctyl Sulfosuccinate (CAS No.: 577-11-7), molecular formula C20H37NaO7S, molecular weight 444.56, is a high-efficiency anionic surfactant produced by Guoli Chemical. The product appearance is colorless to light yellow transparent viscous liquid, active content ≥50% (Kuai T-50 is a 50% solution specification, with a high-concentration specification up to 75%), stable under normal temperature and pressure.
The most prominent performance feature of this product is its excellent rapid penetration capability — under 0.5% aqueous solution concentration, using the canvas sedimentation method, the penetration time is ≤5 seconds, far superior to conventional penetrants. Its surface tension can be reduced to ≤30 mN/m, critical micelle concentration (CMC) is about 0.1~0.4 g/L, indicating excellent interfacial activity at very low dosages. Meanwhile, the HLB value of the product is about 13.5, combining good emulsification and dispersion functions, with outstanding chemical stability, no hydrolysis or precipitation in strong acid, strong alkali, and hard water systems.
The pH range of Kuai T-50 is 5.0~7.0 (1%~5% aqueous solution), weakly acidic to neutral, with good compatibility with most formulation systems. The foam characteristic of the product is low-foaming, which does not easily generate excessive foam to interfere with process operations during use. Acid value ≤1.5 mgKOH/g, saponification value about 252 mgKOH/g, diester content (based on active matter) ≥95%, free alcohol content ≤0.5%, ensuring high product purity and low risk of side reactions. Total heavy metals ≤20 mg/kg, arsenic content ≤2 mg/kg, meeting industrial application safety standards.
